Yesterday, May 8th 2024, the SQUADRA: UA&P Dance Varsity made their debut performance for the ISAA Season 15 Streetdance Competition here at the Parking & Sports Building. There was no doubt they would dance their best, and deliver a great performance to anyone watching!

Today, April 30, the USG joined CSA & ManComm for a meeting regarding our proposal to shift to online classes due to the high heat index and transport strike.

The focus of the meeting was to discuss the aforementioned issues, and the USG was successful in relaying the concerns of the student body.

However, the resolution of this meeting concerns not only the topics brought up by the USG for discussion, but also how a shift to online classes would affect the Academic Calendar as well as our professors and their quality of instruction.

In consideration of all of these factors, the meeting arrived at two outcomes:

1️⃣ With less than a month left in the Academic Year, there will be no shift to online classes. For those with special cases, students are encouraged to relay any important information to their respective professors and programs.

2️⃣ The USG will work closely with CSA & ManComm to improve spaces in the University by hopefully extending hours and opening more air-conditioned areas for students to use in between and after classes.

The USG will be in constant communication with the corresponding offices.

𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓, 𝐑𝐄: 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐈𝐆 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐗

Earlier today, the UA&P USG disseminated a survey to collect data from students regarding the excessive heat index within Pasig City. The objective was to gather information on how the student body may be affected by the heat in terms of commuting to school and working within non-air-conditioned spaces within school premises.

As of 6:00 PM, the survey has surpassed the target number of respondents. Using the data collected, the USG Officers have produced a report that has been officially submitted to the UA&P Center for Student Affairs, calling for a shift to online classes in light of the expected heat indices and transport strikes.

We await a response from the CSA and shall update the UA&P student body in a timely manner.

Our very own men's futsal team has advanced to the semi-finals of the 2024 ISAA tournament after winning against UPLB and Treston last Sunday, April 21!

Let’s come together and catch their semi-finals game against UP Manila this Wednesday, at 2PM in PSB. The battle for thirds and championship game will follow on the same day, at 3:30pm and 4:30pm respectively.

On April 22, 2024, the University Student Government requested for approval regarding the process for appointment of the Acting ICS Representatives in instances of a failed special election after a failed regular election. This request was approved by CSA on April 22, 2024.
