[CS Electives and ES 26 Enlistment]

Please take note of the following guidelines for the enlistment of CS electives and ES 26:

1. Enlistment of the CS electives and ES 26 courses for all students is only through the CRS Online Waitlist module.
2. The Department will NOT entertain Teacher’s Prerog. Emails sent directly to DCS faculty, advisers and staff pertaining to requests for slots will NOT be entertained.
3. Slots will NOT be granted if CRS has blocked your enlistment. This can happen when:
-You are tagged as Ineligible. Please settle your accountabilities first.
-You came from LOA/AWOL and have not been readmitted. Please process your readmission first.
- Your enlistment status is Locked. Please unlock it first or finish the registration until your status is Paid.
4. Slots for waitlisted students will be granted from 8:00 AM to 10:00AM, and waitlists will be cleared at the end of the processing schedule.

a. Failed to satisfy 2nd semester AY 2023-2024 contract
b. Failed to satisfy retention rules

Students with approved readmission contract MYT 2024 should not file an appeal for First Sem AY 2024-2025 as their readmission contracts are valid for two terms (MYT 2024 and First Sem AY 2024-2025). They are allowed to register for First Sem AY 2024-2025. Evaluation of readmission contract will be at the end of First Sem AY 2024-2025

The application period will end on July 12 at 5:00 PM.

The information collected in this form shall be used for planning the courses to be offered for First Semester AY 2024-2025.

All DCS students who fail to accomplish any of the following on or before 17 May 2023, 11:59PM:
- complete the course demand survey, and
- subscribe to the DCS CCC (if not yet subscribed):

SET Answering for Second Semester AY 2023-2024

Please note that the Student Evaluation of Teaching (SET) Answering Module in the Computerized Registration System (CRS) will be open from May 6, 2024 - June 1, 2024 only. This applies to all units except the MBA and MS Finance programs of the Cesar E.A. Virata School of Business, the Master of Management (MM), and Master in Governance and Innovative Leadership (MGIL) programs of UPDEPP/O, PM-TMEM, and UPSA.

Students may accomplish the SET by logging into their CRS accounts and clicking on the “SET Answering Module.” Those who fail to answer the SET will be tagged as "low priority" in the next term's pre-enlistment, while the students in the MBA calendar who fail to answer the SET will be delayed for 1 hour in the next term's real-time enlistment.

Note that the evaluation of the teaching performance of teaching fellows and teaching associates (TFs/TAs) should also be conducted during the period stated above via CRS (if available).

[Koreanist Career Talk] How to Succeed in Korea 101 for Filipino Students 🇵🇭🇰🇷

Talk point: This talk will give ideas to aspiring Filipino students, especially who come from Computer Science or related disciplines, who would like to study and live in South Korea and eventually look at the path to Korean citizenship.

Vincent studied his computer science undergraduate degree in UP Diliman and master’s degree in Sogang University in Seoul under the direction of Prof. Myungwhan Choi of the former Network Systems Lab. His research includes heuristics in drone navigation. He first came to Korea in 2011 under the scholarship program offered by Korea University of Technology in Cheonan-si. He is currently working as a software engineer in a company based in Gangnam, Seoul. He recently got his Korean citizenship last April 2023.

Requirements:

• At least a BS degree holder in Computer Science, or allied fields, preferably with an advanced degree (MS/PhD)

• Has a passion for teaching, research, and service to the nation

• Will be teaching in person

• Should be available starting February 2024
