The exorbitant rate increase in base rates specially in DOHS and also Korangi and adjoining areas is unacceptable.
Relevant authorities will be contacted to revise the rates as per normal procedure and avoid unilateral indiscriminate increase.

Karachi, 20th December – Mr. Faraz ur Rehman, President of the Karachi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), announces his early retirement to fulfill other commitments.

In a heartfelt address, Mr. Rehman voiced his concerns about prevailing economic challenges, stating, "I am disheartened by the current economic situation; people are struggling to afford even their daily meals." He called for national leaders to safeguard Karachi's integrity, recognizing its pivotal role for the collective benefit.

Throughout his tenure, Mr. Rehman dedicated himself to uplifting all business in Korangi Industrial Area, emphasizing unity, faith, and discipline as vital tools to overcome challenges.

In an open invitation, Mr. Rehman extended his unwavering support to associates, declaring, "My doors are open for all my loved ones. Wherever I can help without any position, I will."

Upon his departure, Ms Nighat Awan , SVP of KATI will be acting President of KATI till further notice.
