Polyps of the Colon and Re**um | ASCRS 14/12/2021

Polyps in the colon and re**um can develop in any one, especially as we get older. Majority of polyps are benign, that is, not cancerous but the only way to confirm is to remove them via colonoscopy.

Surveillance after removal of colonic polyps is also advised starting 3 years from the last scope. However, this may differ from each individual depending on what was found during the initial scope.

If you are keen for a colonoscopy or if you have a history of colonic polyps and wish to repeat your scope, do contact us at +65 6261 9008 for an appointment.

Checking for diseases (not just for colore**al cancer) is a form of self care!

Locally, it is still generally accepted that screening for colore**al cancer starts at 50 years old. However, it is never too early for a check and especially so if you have symptoms such as re**al bleeding.

Contact us if you would like to find out more on getting a colonoscopy!
