It’s just about you. It is that simple. No one is the same and we are all unique. My job is to bring out the best in you - and guide you into moving correctly and in the best possible way. The Reformer is an amazing apparatus that accommodates according to individual level and needs whether you are a beginner or advanced. It’s never too late to include Pilates in your life.
Whether you have already celebrated and ushered in 2023, or preparing to welcome in the Chinese New Year, I’d like to greet you all a Happy January and wish you prosperity, health and joy in the months to come. Cheers to a mindful, healthy 2023!

! It’s been a long week of setting up along with the new challenges that come with it. During my ‘separation’ from the , I did less Pilates and more gym equipment which was…fine. However, since my beloved reunion with the Reformer, I am realising how much stretching is needed and more attention is required for my smaller muscles. Moving can take a lot of the . So one of my old time favourites is the lunge - working the hips and thigh muscles with resistance (as opposed to lunges on the floor). Such a small movement makes a big difference! (I will probably be saying this a lot!). And you? What happens to your body when you experience a significant event (ie moving, change of place) in your life?

Stepped out of the studio into the valleys….Exercising the soul, watching sunsets and listening to the murmurs of the vast, red desert. Back to the routine tomorrow and the Studio finally reopens a long Easter break tomorrow. 💪🏼

Welcome to your studio. The moment you step in , you are entering a special space dedicated to your well-being. Here, the only expectation is that you are carving time to look after your needs. We have so many layers within all of us, we find our centre, work on ourselves, feel better, stronger, taller… breathe. Your one to one sessions are designed not only to deepen your Pilates knowledge and get the most out of it. It is also for you to discover the endless possibilities your body can do when you set your mind to it in your space, your studio. 💕

End of the week feeling like…in need of much stretching! Holidays with kids always takes on a whole different meaning to those bygone days of lying on the beach alone. But that’s fine cause I can ‘relax’ now, sit on the box and stretch to my hearts content. It’s finally “me” time. I will not lie, never straightforward to say I want time for me when life’s a little chaotic but it’s always so satisfying when I get to the Reformer. And you? Do you demand for your “me time”? What does “me time” mean to you? 💕 Enjoy the weekend and see you at the Studio on Monday!
Let’s enjoy the moment, the present, this weekend. It is one of the many principles in Pilates to find your centre, to be present in the moment. In our everyday, we can find the time. Find yours. This is my weekend mood and I can’t help but want to enjoy every moment.
Have you had a tough week? Then please go and enjoy the sunshine! Distress, stretch, have a drink, don’t drink, see friends, or stay home and listen to music.
But whatever you do, just relax. It’s Friday.
Sliding into Wednesday like….when you’re getting older (like me), that lower back can literally be a bit of a pain. These gentle and slow movements help release and mobilise the spine when you get that ‘wound up’ feeling (so do this to ‘unwind’). Keeping the feet flat on the platform helps give a great stretch from lumbar down to your hip extensors and hamstrings (otherwise all the way down to the back of your legs). As you life the feet and move to your plank, you then challenge your upper body body and core strength. 🙂 It’s a sweet spot between stretching and strengthening as you go through the movement. Gentle yet effective. Enjoy these in your mid week to get that ‘unwound’ and open up your hips which will help you walk better, dance better (🙃) and jump for happiness when the weeks end comes. Thank you Pilates.

Golf games rely on correct alignment, speed, timing, balance, stability, coordination, rotation of the body amongst other things. …which just happens to be some of the wonderful things you can do in Pilates on the Reformer! Training with dynamic movements in your reformer sessions are just one off the many benefits of Pilates and the Reformer.
