US released COVID vaccine safety data on mRNA vaccination in 5-11 years old.

11 cases of myocarditis out of 8 million doses, that is 0.14 per 100,000 doses.
This is below background rate of myocarditis, usually 1-2/100,000.

Hopefully this will reassure parents faced with misinformation by a minority of anti-vaxxers who seem to want to see our precious children end up in hospitals with COVID-19 complications.

Another important study in JAMA showed that COVID vaccination was associated with reduced risk of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children, which is another significant risk in unvaccinated children infected with COVID.
