UMAD is just around the corner! 🤩 This Sunday, 2 June 2024, there will be Fireplace happening!🔥

It will be happening from 12.00pm-1.00pm in the Activity room after service!

Come with expectant hearts, ❤️‍🔥 get ready for a meaningful time where we will be worshipping and praying about UMAD together! 🥰

As UMAD2024 is coming in less than a month’s time, here are some things that the committee is looking forward to!

Hey everyone! I’m Joseph, the Camp Commandant of UMAD2024! Coming into this camp having been unable to attend a few of the past UMADs, I’m most looking forward to growing closer to my fellow brothers & sisters in the faith! 🙆🏻‍♂️

To see us as a community having unity and love in all we do 🫶

Above all, I’m truly expectant for how God is going to move in His unique ways, to spur us on and awaken us to His call to be a generation that knows and pursues after His own heart! 👣🕊️

Hi everyone I’m Emma, 2nd Camp Commandant of UMAD2024 🔥 I’m really thankful to God for this amazing opportunity to serve as a Camp Cammandant! Even though this is only my 3rd UMAD I’ve attended, I’m really excited to see what God has install for us just like the past 2 years‼️

Really looking forward to meeting new friends and bonding over the fun games and our encounters with God throughout the camp💛

I just know that the Lord will speak to us and lead us a a generation with clean hands and a pure heart💪

Hey youths! It’s been quite awhile since we last had a in-person missions event! Do sign up by 18 September as lunch will be provided! Link in bio! ✨

“I am who I am” - that’s the name God declares to Moses. But, in order to explain himself to the Israelites, God tells Moses instead to say that “Yahweh” - or “He is/He will be” - had sent him to them. We may be familiar with this name in its many forms over the years - “YHWH”, “Jehovah” or LORD (full caps!) in the Bible.

When God revealed His name to Moses, He did more than that - He also showed how He desires to be known by us - “He is”, here with us, and He will be today and forevermore. Yay God!

We celebrated our nation’s anniversary, but is this home, truly?

Home is where we are always present, welcomed and accepted. In the book of John, Jesus reminds us to make the Word of God our home. Jesus, the Word made flesh, came to dwell among us, love us, and bring us to the Father’s house. When we are close to God, then Jesus, the living Word of God, is home - truly.

Last week we celebrated Youth Sunday, and you might have spotted some new faces in main service!

We also had lots of fun at our highly anticipated UMAD afterglow. 🎉

“With so little, God did so much through us. How much more can you do with so much more that God has given you!”

Let us share the Good News by meeting the needs of society, showing God’s nature and character to His people. Let us serve people, not just by bringing people to church, but more pressingly, by bringing church to His people. Let us live out the Great Commission, using our gifts and talents. Let’s go! ✨

This pledging season, we learned the principles of sowing. As Galatians 6:7 puts: “A man reaps what he sows” - what we feed will grow and what we starve will diminish.

Just as a farmer grows a Mao Shan Wang plant though he does not yet see the fruit, we sow in faith believing in the harvest. Sowing requires effort, time and faith, and we sow into God’s kingdom just as farmer tills the soil, sows the seeds, and cares for the crops until the harvest comes.

We may plant the seed, or we may water it, but ultimately we must depend on God who works to make things grow - the God of the harvest!
