Is Singapore a ghost paradise? Are people living too close for comfort with their dead? Today I'm diving into this hi-tech island's spooky side investigating why Singapore is digging up its cemeteries, looking at the island's violent heritage and multicultural ghost lore. This video features my rap song 'Creatures of the Night' and check out the free eTravel Guide in the comments on YouTube.

Why did China recently remove the name of Israil from baidu.com, the Google maps of China? Here's the latest video from my YouTube Channel, The Talking Turban where I look at the geopolitics of mapmaking history, and how the West 'stole' the East.
Years ago while travelling on an Indian train I saw a pair of newlyweds dressed in their wedding finery. Here's the million dollar question: why do Indian brides wear red bangles? I was fascinated to learn. My latest video on The Talking Turban goes behind this India wide marriage custom to explore the psychology, botany, science and the mythology associated with the colour red. Keep viewing for the video poem towards the end.

Coming this Thursday! Celebrating 20 years of Poetry Slam in Singapore!
The Shakespearean Slam
If thou dost love the Bard and his sweet words,
And if thou hast a skill and love for poetry,
Then join us for The Shakespearean Slam,
A merry contest of the mind and tongue
To party for the immortal bard’s birthday.

Or act a scene from any of his works,
And win the favour of the crowd and judges.
The victor shall receive a prize and praise.
But there is more! Thou canst also partake
In a Shakespeare insult battle and a quiz.
Do not forgo this chance to honour him

Doth glance from heaven to earth, from earth to heaven."
