The Spanish Club of UWI invites you to show off your Spanish skills and win some prizes in commemoration of Spanish Language Day on Sat. 23 Apr. The theme of this contest is Cambio Positivo (Positive Change).

Guidelines:
Recreate a monologue from a Spanish movie in the form of a video no longer than 5 minutes. Please ensure that the scene you are re-enacting is appropriate. You will be judged on your language accuracy (pronunciation, grammaticality), presentation (clothing, background) and general performance. You should also give your video a title that reflects the specific way in which POSITIVE CHANGE is represented in your monologue.
All appropriate videos will be posted on the Spanish Club of UWI’s social media. Then, on Wed. 20 Apr., the finalist videos will be selected by the judges and reposted on the club’s Instagram page . The finalist video with the most likes by Sat. 23 Apr. will be named the winning video. The winner will be awarded at the Spanish Language Day event on Sat 23 Apr.

The Faculty of Humanities and Education Guild Committee 2021/2022 have partnered with external and internal stakeholders to provide financial support to FHE students.

All students enrolled in the FHE are eligible to apply for this grant and financial support will be given to six eligible students.⁣Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
⁣
The selected students will be given $TTD3000 as a one-time, non-repayable disbursement. These funds can be sent to students’ local bank account or applied towards UWI tuition and/or other fees.
