Since September 2021, ART-at-TAC at 露特西亞傳藝店 Lutetia TAC store in Shilin has hosted 30 exhibitions, showcasing diverse works from local and international artists. Founded by Hellen Söderberg and Jessica Wang Simula, ART-at-TAC provides a platform for unrepresented artists to exhibit and sell their art without commission, encouraging donations to local charities. 𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧! 😍 Last week, The Center embarked on an exciting tour of the famous Taipei Performing Arts Center, a masterpiece designed by renowned architect Rem Koolhaas. The center comprises three theaters interconnected by a central cube, allowing for shared backstage facilities and efficient use of space.

💜 One of the highlights was our visit to the Globe Theater. From the outside, it looks like a giant sphere! The Globe Theater can seat up to 800 people, with seating arranged in a circular fashion to ensure every audience member has an unobstructed view.

💜 We also ventured into the Grand Theater. The Grand Theater can seat up to 1,500 people and is designed for large-scale productions, including operas, musicals, and major theatrical performances. The stage is one of the largest in Asia, providing ample space for elaborate sets and complex choreography.

The Dragon Boat Festival is a vibrant holiday in Taiwan and many other parts of Asia. It honors the life and legacy of the famous Chinese scholar Qu Yuan. Festivities include thrilling dragon boat races, where teams paddle to the rhythm of drums, and enjoying tasty sticky rice dumplings called zongzi. 🍡🎶
