Our clinic will be closed on Thursday, November 23rd to celebrate Thanksgiving. We will resume normal operating hours on Friday, November 24th.

We just wanted to share this info in case any of our clients are feeding the affected food brands involved in the recall.

FDA, CDC Investigate Salmonella Outbreak; Mid America Pet Food Recalls FDA, CDC, and state partners are investigating an outbreak of Salmonella Kiambu that is potentially associated with pet food made by Mid America Pet Food.

UPDATE: Owner located!

This dog was found near Publix in Aiken. It is microchipped, but the phone numbers are disconnected, and the address on file is not in Aiken. The lady that found it could not take it home, so we have it at The Ark for the weekend. We will be closed until Monday, but you can leave a message if the dog belongs to you. Please call 803-648-4245.

We will be closed on Tuesday, July 4th, and will reopen on Wednesday for normal hours. Have a happy and safe holiday!

Getting work done while mom is away

A gentleman just brought in a puppy that he almost hit in the middle of the road. He was driving on Hwy 278, between Whiskey Rd and Jaywood Rd and the puppy was along that stretch of highway. He is unable to keep the puppy until an owner is located, so the puppy is here for now. If you, or someone you know is missing this puppy, please call us at 803-648-4245. Must be able to verify s*x, possibly have some pictures of the puppy, and give a more accurate location of where the dog may have been when it was picked up.

UPDATE: Owner Found

This dog was found in the Chime Bell Church Road area on July 21st. He/she is microchipped, but the phone number listed isn't the owner. If anyone knows who this baby belongs to, please call The Ark at 803-648-4245.

A neutered black and white cat (approximately 15lbs) was hit by a car in front of our clinic this evening. Sadly, by the time Dr. McMillen got to the poor baby, he was deceased. He didn't have a collar, nor a microchip. If you are missing your fur baby and think this may be him, please give us a call. Unfortunately, pictures will not be posted out of decency.

We will be open our normal hours of 8:00-6:00 on New Year's Eve, but will be closed on New Year's Day. Happy New Year from The Ark...and Alli's little Moo!
