Our libraries see all kinds of use - they host stuffed animal sleep overs, open mic nights, crafternoons, big truck days and more. We're psyched to add Recording Studio to the list! We're sending good vibes to the musicians of the Schaghticoke library!

In case you were wondering, yes, this day is for you!
Today UHLS staff really went back to basics with a visit to Renascent Book Bindery in Troy. Owner Tim James showed us how book binding has evolved over the last couple millennia and a few of us got to try out hand at printing with an iron hand press and trimming the edge of a book on a 14th-century-style cutting machine, We came back to the office with a whole new appreciation for the printed word!
Did somebody say CHEESE?!

Unless you're at work - that could be tricky!
