Our programs for emerging leaders help young professionals develop leadership skills; Rotary Connects the World.
The Allentown Rotary Club is dedicated to community service!
Rotarian and our club’s Community Service Chair, Don Wieand spoke this afternoon about the projects the club continues to be committed to. ARC projects include Meals on Wheels, Romper Day, The Salvation Army Backpack Giveaway, Monte Carlo Night at Good Shepherd, District 7430’s STEM YEA! Camp and much more! The club is also eager to consider more projects that will make an impact to the communities in which we serve.
The Allentown Rotary Club had a wonderful time supporting the 20th Annual Salvation Army Backpack Giveaway. It was great to see so many smiling faces as free backpacks and school supplies were provided to students from 1st to 12th grades. Wishing all the kids good luck on their school year! We love taking part in this project since we give a grant to support the purchasing of the backpacks but we also get to go and pass them out!
Join us for our next program, “Meaningful Community Engagement,” featuring Allentown Rotarian, Donald (Don) Wieand! Don is the Allentown Rotary Club's Community Service Chair which he organizes and leads our many volunteer and service project opportunities. Join us to learn how Allentown Rotary makes an impact in our local community.

The Magic of Rotary: A Message
from Your President
Dear fellow Rotarians,
Welcome to another Rotary year! As we step into 2024-2025, I'm filled with excitement and anticipation. Last year was my warm-up, but this is my real Presidential year, and I can't wait to embark on this journey with all of you.
July has always held a special place in my heart. It's not just the start of our Rotary year, but a time of celebration with Independence Day, my birthday (on the 14th), summer vacations, and countless festivals. There's something in the air that makes people want to come together and celebrate. And who doesn't love a good celebration?
Speaking of celebrations, our changeover dinner this year was truly magical as we introduced our new theme: "The Magic of Rotary." Just recently, I witnessed a magician performing simple tricks at a restaurant, and I was struck by the joy and wonder on everyone's faces. That's exactly what I envision for our Rotary meetings - a room full of smiling, laughing people having a wonderful time.
So, my friends, buckle up! Get your smiles ready and your laughter queued up. This year, we're going to have fun and make magic! Each one of us brings something special to our club, and it's time we start showcasing that. I firmly believe that if we demonstrate the fun we're having here at the Allentown Rotary Club, new members will naturally be drawn to join us.
Remember, the real magic of Rotary lies in our ability to transform lives and communities through our service. By infusing our meetings and projects with joy and enthusiasm, we'll not only make a bigger impact but also create unforgettable experiences for ourselves and others.
Thank you for joining me on this magical journey for another year. Together, let's make 2024-2025 a year of service, fun, and wonderment that none of us will ever forget!
Here's to the Magic of Rotary!
Rosaria
