We are thankful for the opportunities our LifeSMART team has to get together and train. They recently had their Real Essentials training which is required if you are going to go into the classrooms to teach. They also had their first Summer Summit as an opportunity to share any tips and tricks on best practices in the classroom and learn about new topics that are being presented to the students this year.

We are thankful for our community partners. Recently, our Medical Mobile Unit Manager made a connection with a laundry ministry in Allentown that provides free laundry services to the homeless population on Tuesday evenings.We recently brought our Medical Mobile Unit to this free laundry night to let them know about our educational classes for parents and to provide free medical services including STI testing, pregnancy tests and ultrasounds to anyone who needed them.

“I’m so glad you are out here. I was hoping you would be here.” - Client served on the Medical Mobile Unit

Bright Hope is able to bring its medical services on the road to where our clients need us most. On this day, we were parked across the street from Planned Parenthood. This mom went into Planned Parenthood for an appointment as she wasn’t sure if she was going to proceed with her pregnancy. She had seen us outside before she went in and when she came out, she really wanted to talk to someone and see her baby on an ultrasound. We were able to meet her needs right there and then connect her with a pregnancy center that is closer to where she lives. We are so grateful we could stand in the gap with her that day.

Our Maternity Home Director Beth played a pivotal role in getting our new Door of Hope Maternity Program developed and launched and we are so grateful for her! We are sad to see her go, but excited for the new adventures God has in store for her in Maryland.

We are looking to hire Door of Hope Maternity Home staff who have experience in social work and have the flexibility to work some evening shifts. If you are interested in hearing more, please contact Jon at [email protected].

Our desire is to Stand with Her through every step of her pregnancy journey and early parenting years. Facing an unexpected pregnancy can be scary and lonely. We provide comprehensive maternal healthcare including a safe space for them to process their current situation, pregnancy verifications, early ultrasounds, STI testing and treatment, education support, connections to community resources, as well as baby supplies.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Baby Bottle Campaign. We are still working on counting all of our coins but we have raised over 50% towards of goal $75,000.

Our annual Baby Bottle Campaign is a great opportunity to get friends and family of all ages involved in changing lives! This year we had 28 churches do a Baby Bottle Campaign Drive from Mother’s Day to Father’s Day. Funds raised through this interactive fundraiser help support the medical and educational services we provide to women, men and youth in our community at no cost to them.

We are so thankful for our exceptional and enthusiastic team of LifeSMART presenters and volunteers. They recently celebrated another successful year of teaching Social Maturity and Relationships Training to students grades 5-10 in our community. In fact, they gave 1,581 presentations to 6,603 students!

Our LifeSMART team gave 1,581 relationships training lessons to 6,603 students grades 5-8 during the 2023/2024 school year. These students learned how to identify red flags in relationships, set boundaries, cultivate whole-health habits, communicate effectively, and so many more valuable skills to help them be successful.

The Door of Hope maternity home helps homeless pregnant women ages 18-21 get off the streets and walks them through an extensive program to teach them how to be self-sustaining, for their own benefit and for the sake of their babies.

This client initially came to us when she found out she was pregnant shortly after discovering that her boyfriend cheated on her. She talked to one of our caring client advocates about her fears surrounding going on with her pregnancy, and she left the appointment feeling confident with her decision to parent her baby.

“My favorite thing about Bright Hope is showing moms the miracle of life on the ultrasound screen. I am in awe every time I get to witness it. Also, the people I get to work beside every day are joyful, encouraging and make every moment here a pleasure. This is a place of caring, not only for our clients, but also for each other. It’s where I’m meant to be!”
