🌟June is National Cancer Survivors Month - we honor the strength and resilience of survivors everywhere and in our communities! The American Cancer Society uses the term cancer survivor to refer to anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer no matter where they are in the course of their disease.🌟

The 2023 Patient Support Impact Report has been released and we are so excited to see all of the great work done by the American Cancer Society in one year! Here are just a few key takeaways:

🎗️In 2023, 79.8 million lives were touched through our programs and services

🏘️We reached 71% of the countries zip codes (that’s 21,300 communities!)

🌍We worked with 35 low-and middle-income countries to reduce global health disparities and improve cancer care

"I relay for my husband (my biggest cheerleader), my 91 year old mother who buried her best friend (my father) 4 months ago, my four adult children and their spouses, and my two beautiful grandchildren, so that they do NOT have to go through the cancer and treatment that I have gone through in the past year. I never want them or their children to have this experience personally! I relay for medical advances that found my cancer early, and therefore, I have a quality of life. I relay for future medical advances to protect my family."
