The American Cancer Society is a global grassroots force of 1.5 million volunteers dedicated to saving lives, celebrating lives, and leading the fight for a world without cancer. With our supporters, we’re making important contributions that have led to significant progress against cancer. Prevention efforts, early detection, and better treatments have resulted in a 25 percent decline in cancer mortality rates since 1991, avoiding 2.1 million cancer deaths nationwide.

Our Story
Relay For Life is a fun-filled event designed to
celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and
programs of your American Cancer Society. During the
event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or
parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team
tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times.
