We will see you Wednesday, October 30th for the annual CANDY CRAWL! Our Virginia-Highland coffeehouse will stay open until 6 PM to make sure all the trick-or-treaters have a chance to stop by for some Halloween treats!

Did you know that your morning coffee was once considered the drink of the devil !? 😈 In the 16th century, some priests in Italy were so spooked by the energizing effects of coffee that they tried to ban it, calling it Satan’s drink. It wasn’t until Pope Clement VIII came to the rescue and baptized coffee, declaring it not only safe but delightfully delicious, that the ban was lifted, and coffee became a hit across Europe!
