Full transparency: it will cost you $25 a month and if you take advantage of a homeowner, you will be removed from my list immediately. There is no other cost to you. I will only allow 3 specialists per city. My audience is homeowners nationwide. This is a new project, so everything is subject to change.
Who am I?: Founder of the National Alliance Against Home Repair Fraud.

Before you hire a contractor, there is some work you may want to do first.
Determine exactly what you want to have done.
As much as possible, select which materials/supplies you want. Write down the exact color, model number, manufacturer, specific sizes, grade, etc. and have all contractors give you an estimate using the products you have chosen.
Contact your insurance agent and let them know your plans so they can advise you on insurance issues you may not know about.

Is it OK for a contractor to waive my deductible? One way is by giving you an estimate that’s higher than the actual cost to repair your home or roof. The contractor then uses the extra money paid by the insurance company to cover your deductible. Some contractors might offer rebates or credits in the amount of your deductible. That’s also illegal. https://naahrf.org/
