For over 38 years, the Zaban Paradies Center has delivered life-changing assistance to couples experiencing homeless in Greater Atlanta. In 2021 we expanded our services to include rapid re-housing and diversion services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Zaban Paradies Center is thrilled to announce the appointment of Danny Lester-Drew as our new Executive Director! At a recent Tuesday Day Service, a volunteer from a local house of worship and our own case manager, Cynthia, helped our program participants get cell phones - a vital tool in today's world. Zaban Paradies Center is happy to network with our diverse community partners to bring our participants the services, tools, and programs that will help them in their journeys toward self-sufficiency.

Zaban Paradies Center had the pleasure of providing the venue for the Atlanta Continuum of Care meeting yesterday. The meeting gave us the opportunity to connect with fellow nonprofits dedicated to assisting our neighbors to determine how we can work together to grow our network of care and support.

Homelessness is a complex issue not only on the society level, but on an individual level. Chances are, if you're unhoused, it's because of a set of challenges and has created *another* set of challenges. Here at Zaban Paradies Center, we recognize the various obstacles you're facing. Our case managers are dedicated to helping you identify your needs, establishing a set of goals, and then providing resources and tools to help make you successful. We call these wraparound services - and we hope they do just that: wrap around everything you are and lift you up to your best self.
Talk about a ! Our shelter's care closet got a much-needed makeover thanks to local teen volunteer, Basil Ackerman and their fellow from #29. They've spent several hours this week remodeling, painting, and organizing this very special storage area so that we can better serve our community. Without help from our neighbors, we wouldn't be able to carry out our very important mission here at Zaban Paradies Center. Thank you so much, Basil & crew!

For two months, our neighbor, Adam, has been visiting us here at Zaban Paradies Center every Tuesday to partake in community and in our Day Service program. According to him, because of resources and encouragement provided to him by our team members, he's secured a job, received his first paycheck, and opened a bank account. Thanks for trusting us to help you, Adam. You'll always have friends at Zaban.
Homelessness is difficult enough as it is - and it often forces couples and families to separate. Zaban Paradies Center is the only shelter in the state of Georgia that houses self-identifying couples without separating them - because we know their success often depends on it.
