Halloween Safe Streets will be returning this year on October 31st from 5-9pm, including a Haunted House! Safe Streets is a tradition in the heart of East Lake which provides two safe and car-free areas for trick-or-treating on each side of Memorial Drive.
Every year we ask you, our amazing community, to help us make this happen. Safe Streets provides safe locations for all neighboring kids to trick-or-treat. Your donations will go towards providing 13 APD officers to control traffic at intersections and obtaining city permits. They also will go towards decorating the East Lake Haunted House, which will be open for all ages on Halloween night.
Any donation is very much needed & greatly appreciated. This event wouldn’t be possible without the help of the wonderful folks in East Lake & surrounding areas! To donate, please go here: https://eastlake.org/product/safestreetdonations/
As far as candy donations, we will start accepting those the week before Halloween (October 21st-October 29th), with pickups for residents in the Safe Streets zones starting on October 29th. Stay tuned for more info!
