Our Story

Azusa Unified is a district that believes its children deserve the best education possible. More than 8,300 TK-12th grade students attend Azusa Unified schools, which include 12 elementary, three middle and three high schools, as well as an Adult School and Alternative Education Center.

AUSD is dedicated to the academic achievement of all students. The student-centered program emphasizes a curriculum aligned with California Standards, enrichment classes and a commitment to educational technology. AUSD also offers a Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program in which includes a partnership with Azusa Pacific University, special programs for at-risk students and an extensive special-education program.
Azusa Unified has high expectations for all students and provides support to help them meet those expectations. In addition to basic skills, great attention is given to advanced courses, electives, and vocational classes.

Although the district mission is universal, each of our school communities is unique. As long as space is available, students may attend any school in the district. Selecting a school can be a difficult choice for parents. Please accept our invitation to visit our schools, meet the principals and take a tour.

We are extremely proud of our schools, students, staff and our very supportive community. Welcome to Azusa Unified!
