Come one and all to the first Bakersfield Master Chorale Opening Social and Rehearsal of the 2023-2024 season! This is open to everyone so feel free to come check us out! We will be at Actis Junior High 2400 Westholme Blvd from 6:30-8:30 pm. We will socialize, eat yummy snacks, pass out music, and then sing! We have the great honor of performing Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess and more with the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra on October 7! Join us for the most amazing 91st season! We all made it to the airport last night and transferred by coach to the Hotel Pyramide. It is an amazing hotel and we all had a light dinner inside the pyramid! Everyone slept well and had a yummy breakfast. We are now off to the cemetery to see the graves of famous composers and have an amazing day planned culminating in our first concert. Vienna is so beautiful!

After an hour and 45 minute delay flight group 1 is finally headed from Frankfurt to Vienna! Flight group 2 will arrive at the same from Zurich! We are almost there!

We are off!!! The BC Chamber Singers are finally on a 81-passenger bus to LAX where we will fly to Vienna! After 2 long years of endless fundraising, concerts, late night rehearsals, and so much preparation we are finally doing it. I am so incredibly proud of all of the singers and all they did to accomplish this. What a testament to dreaming big and making it happen! Vienna here come the BC Chamber Singers! BC Chamber Singers to celebrate with Bon Voyage Concert It's a great time to sing the praises of the BC Chamber Singers.

The BC Chamber Singers just launched our last fundraiser that should take us to the finish line.! We have raised and paid in over $160,000 and need the final $10,000! Your $10 donation can make all of the difference. We only need 1,000 people to donate $10 and that ensures that every Chamber Singer can attend the tour to Vienna, Prague, Leipzig, and Berlin in June! Please help us and pass this on to someone else! The proceeds of the firework sales will help the BC Chamber Singers represent Bakersfield College in Vienna, Prague, and Berlin in June of 2023! Please help us make sure every student can attend. The hours are: Friday, July 1: 12 pm to 11 pm. Saturday, July 2: 8 am - 11 pm. Sunday, July 3: 8 am to 11 pm and Monday, July 4: 8 am to 11:59 pm. Please purchase your fireworks from BC Choirs! Bakersfield College Chamber Singers look to raise funds for tour of Europe The Bakersfield College Chamber Singers are returning to the stage to perform their first live dinner theater production in two years and the group needs the community’s help.

The evening will feature guest artists such as: Ken and Jill Burdick, Bethany Rowlee, Mason Edwards, Riordan Banks, Caley Mayhall, and a live band! The music will include Phantom of the Opera, Jersey Boys, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Guys and Dolls, Little Women, Hadestown, Les Miserables, and more. Yesterday morning 40 treble singers, 3 collaborative pianists, and 1 conductor gathered in the Bakersfield College Choir room to put together a piece of music by Moira Smiley called, “I Have a Voice”. The choir was made up of BC Treble voices along with high school treble voices! It was wonderful to meet and work with these incredible high school students. The time went so quickly as we worked notes, rhythms, body percussion, and meaning. This song will open the April 22 BC Choir Concert! Get your tickets now! You need to hear them sing!
