Hello! I'm back home. Ready for 5th devotion of THANK & SALVATION?

A brief story:
Mary and Joseph went to Jerusalem for presenting their Baby Jesus to the Lord and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord.
A righteous and devout man was walking by and sensed by Holy Spirit that he would not die before seeing the Lord's Messiah. Yes, he believed God to reveal Him in His time. Bam, God promised Him because Holy Spirit led him right to the temple court. At the right time the parents brought the Child Jesus to him to do according to the law requirement.
Suddenly a righteous man was filled with joy ...

The 5th person, a righteous and devout man was Simeon.

Then Simeon took Jesus in his arms. He gave honor to Him and THANKED God, saying, "Lord, now let me die in peace, as You have said. My eyes have seen the One who will SAVE men from the punishment of their sins."
Luke 2:28-30 New Life Version

May we continue giving thanks to God for saving us from punishment of sins.

Good afternoon! I haven't forgotten today's devotion, smile. I am out of town all morning but now in the lobby, deciding to do 4th devotion!

Here's a very brief story:
After hearing the Angel and a host of angels praising God, then they were gone. The shepherds looked at each others, saying "let's go to Bethlehem and see what the angels told us!" They hurried to find, yes they found Him! They saw a Babe lying down in a manger just as the angels told them.

The 4th persons were the shepherds!

The shepherds went back full of joy. They THANKED God for all they had heard and seen. It happened as the angel had told them.
Luke 2:20 New Life Version

If you asked me: what had they heard and seen?

The shepherds had heard the good news from the angel about saving from punishment of sin. The shepherds had seen Savior, a Baby Jesus lying down in a manger!

May we continue giving thanks to God for saving us from punishment of sin.

Good morning! Let's continue this 3rd devotion.

Here's a very brief story:
The shepherds out on the field at night were watching over the sheep.
Suddenly ...

Now third person(s) is Angel & then many angels.

The angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. See! I bring you good news of great joy which is for all people. Today, One who SAVES from the punishment of sin has been born in the city of David. He is Christ, the Lord."
At once many angels from heaven were seen, along with the angels, giving THANKS to God. They were saying, "Greatness and honor to our God in the highest heaven and peace on earth among men who please Him."
Luke 2:10-11, 13-14 New Life Version

May we continue thanking God for His Son Jesus who saves us from punishment of sin.

12/02/2023

Good morning!
Let's read a very brief story:
Elizabeth gave birth to a son. Her friends and family heard the wonderful news and they shared joy with her.
On 8th day they told his father to name his son after him but his mother told them "No! He is John!"
They were puzzled because they knew that no one in his family with that name. They turned around asking his father about naming him. He wrote the tablet "His name is John."

Now this father is Zachariah, the priest. Yes, he is the second person thanking God!

Zachariah, the father of John, was filled with the Holy Spirit. He told what was going to happen, saying, "Let us THANK the Lord God of Israel. He has bought His people and made them free. He has raised up from the family of David, One who SAVES people from the punishment of their sins."
It's from Luke 1:67-69 New Life Version

May we continue thanking God for His Son Jesus who saves us from punishment of sin.

12/01/2023

Good morning! Praise God for His goodness. I asked Regayna Rester for her permission to use her short sermon that she did back in December 2013. She said yes. So I'm going to use her sermon into 6 or 7 devotions. Why? I want thanksgiving continue for Christmas. Smile

Did you know there is 6 events showing THANKFULNESS to God for His Son, Jesus and they KNOW that Jesus, the One who saves from the punishment of sin?
We will see 2 things repeating: Thankfulness and Salvation.

Now we begin with the first devotion:

The very first person is Mary! Yes, she is the mother of Jesus.

Then Mary said, "My heart sings with THANKS for my Lord. And my spirit is happy in God, the One who SAVES from the punishment of sin."
It's from Luke 1:46-47 New Life Version

May we continue thanking God for His Son Jesus who saves us from punishment of sin.

Today is November 30, the last day of this month. However today is not the end of thanksgiving.

Did you know that there are two kinds of gratitude?
One kind stops with thanks. It is a feeling that leads nowhere. It’s like just saying “thank you for the food and the clothes” then forget about it.

This kind, much deeper gratitude motivates us to give.
This kind of gratitude comes from our hearts.
Unspeakable love.
Unspeakable joy.
Unspeakable peace.
Those unspeakable true feelings come from knowing Savior Jesus. He is the One who motivates us to give and share with much gratitude.
Why?
Because of His sacrifice on the cross, He provides forgiveness, salvation and eternal life to the world.

Psalm 100:4-5 - give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Psalm 86:12 - "I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever."

2 Corinthians 9:15
“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!”

Psalm 146:2
“I will praise (thank) the Lord as long as I live. I will sing praises (give thanks) to my God with my dying breath.”

11/24/2023

Good morning!!! Should we stop thanking after Thanksgiving day? No way! We still thank God for the food to eat, water to drink, clothes to wear, house to live under, jobs to support family, church to hear the Word, and many more. There is one more thing that we should thank God every single day of our lives! Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world!
I found a perfect verse to remind us:

It's in Psalm 146:2
I will praise the Lord as long as I live.
I will sing praises to my God with my dying breath.

Yes, I know we don't see the word "thank" but it means same thing!
I will thank the Lord as long as I live. I will sing a song of thanksgiving to my God with my dying breath.

Thanksgiving Day is 365 days!

Thank You Lord for saving my soul
Thank You Lord for making me whole
Thank You Lord for Your great salvation so rich and free!

11/21/2023

Good morning! Let us soak up in our hearts with Psalm 28:7!

The Lord is my strength and shield.
I trust Him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.

Focus on Thanksgiving since two more days we will have a Thanksgiving day.

I'm so thankful that we have our God. I trust Him with all my heart. No matter what in our lives, we should have our hearts be filled with thanksgiving to God. Why? He is there for us. He gives us His strength. He protects us. He helps us. He provides us what we need. That's why we call Him our Father. We are His children. He cares for us. He loves us. Best part is that He gave us His Son: Jesus Christ!
Let us sing to God:

"Give thanks with a grateful heart, give thanks to the Holy One; give thanks, because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son."

Good morning! Ready to soak up to know God personally in our hearts?

Let's read Psalm 100:3!
Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

We see one verse speaking of who God is.
1. Lord
2. God
3. Creator
4. Shepherd

We cannot deny the Lord God. No excuse. We know by our conscience.

What do you mean? How do we know?

Look around you. What do you see? We see Creator! He made birds. He made cats and dogs. He made us.

It should give us a good feeling, feeling loved, feeling secured. That brings us to know Him as Shepherd. Shepherd cares about us.
Brings me to 2 verses in book of John:
John 10:11 "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices His life for the sheep."
John 10:14 "I am the good shepherd; I know My own sheep, and they know Me."
Do you see it?
Shepherd is Jesus. He sacrificed His life for the sheep. The sheep is the people, yes, that's us!
Yes, Jesus is Lord. Yes, Jesus is God. Yes, Jesus is Creator.
Yes, Jesus is Shepherd.
We are His, the sheep of His pasture. Call on Him! Let Him care for us.

11/16/2023

Good morning! My heart is filled with the awe of God who loves us so much. I just read Psalm 92.

Let us soak up with Psalm 92:1-2, 4-5 in our hearts!
"It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High.
It is good to proclaim Your unfailing love in the morning, Your faithfulness in the evening. You thrill me, Lord, with all You have done for me! I sing for joy because of what You have done.
O Lord, what great works You do! And how deep are Your thoughts."

Yes, God's thought of us is very deep. God loves us so much that He gave up His Son. That's what He has done! Father God let His own Son Jesus to die on the Cross. That's how much He loves us! So good to know His love in the morning! So good to know His faithfulness in the evening! Yes, God thrilled my heart to know how much His love for us - so high, so deep, so wide and so long! His love never ends! Thank You Jesus that Your great work is done on the Cross. You paid the price for our sin with Your blood. You said it out loud "It is finished!" But it is not the end of the work yet! On the 3rd day YOU CONQUERED it! You are very much ALIVE! In Your hand, there is a gift of forgiveness, there is a gift of salvation and there is a gift of eternal life.
I want to sing this now to end the devotion:
Thank You Lord for saving my soul.
Thank You Lord for making me whole.
Thank You Lord for giving to me Your great salvation so rich and free!

11/15/2023

Psalm 105:1
Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim His greatness.
Let the whole world know what He has done.

Psalm 106:1
Praise the Lord!
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
His faithful love endures forever.

Psalm 107:1
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
His faithful love endures forever.

Notice the word "thanks" beginning with verse one in all three Psalms! So we should begin to thank Him when we wake up in the morning! Every day is a new day filled with His greatness, His faithfulness, His goodness, His mercy, and His love toward us! Every day is a new day with our thankfulness, our praise, and our love toward God!

Let say with me toward our God:
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever!"

11/10/2023

Good morning! Today I have decided to focus on Jesus since Thanksgiving is drawing near. I want us to give thanks to Him but first look at the verse telling us of Who Jesus is!

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Now let us give thanks to Him by saying:
Thank You, Wonderful Counselor. You comfort us. You lift us up. You sustain us. All through the trying times, hardships and everything.

Thank You, Mighty God. Nothing is too hard for You. You are mighty to save. You are mighty to heal and to deliver. You are mighty to rescue. You are Almighty God!

Thank You, Everlasting Father. I'm so glad that You, Father to welcome me into Your family when I called on Your Son. You are my Abba Father. I am Your child. I love You. So thankful to know how much love You have for us.

Thank You, Prince of Peace. No matter what we are going through, whatever good or bad, You give us Your peace in our hearts, our minds and in our beings. So thankful we can rest in You, knowing You are Prince of Peace. Lord Jesus, take our anxieties and our worries away and fill us of Your peace.

Yes Jesus, I remember the words of David, want to pray this:
I trust in You, O Lord; I say "You are my God." My times are in Your hands.

Thank You for being my God!!!

While walking through the woods, nine-year-old Lillian Trasher prayed a simple prayer: “Lord Jesus, I’m just a little girl, but if you ever want to use me, I’ll do it.” At 17, she returned to that region to visit the family who had led her to Christ. She prayed the same prayer while walking through those same woods.

Lillian became affiliated with the newly formed Assemblies of God in 1914. For 53 years, she made Egypt her home, where she raised 10,000 children. Today, you can find her grave in the orphanage, among 400 orphans, forty widows, and fifty staff. Over 25,000 children have called Lillian Trasher Orphanage their home, making it the largest Christian institution in the Middle East.

Good morning! I'm reading Psalm 73.
From verse 1 to 23, it's about people getting rich, very healthy & satisfied, loaded with things like jewels but their hearts are prideful, cruelty and their mouth speak only evil.
Now let Psalm 73:24-26 to soak up in our hearts:
You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. Whom have I in heaven but You?
I desire You more than anything on earth. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; He is mine forever.

Yes! God, only God guides and leads us to a glorious destiny that is Heaven! We desire God, we long for Him and let Him fill our hearts of His love, His peace and His joy. Yes, we are weak, both health and spirit BUT God remains the strength of our hearts. Let us say: HE IS MINE FOREVER!

I'm so thankful to God for His Beloved Son, Jesus. He is Savior of the world. He is mighty to save. Call on His Name: JESUS. Then He remains the strength of your heart! And He is yours!

11/06/2023

Good morning! Today is a wonderful day. Why? A wonderful time with Lord Jesus in reading and praying. Oh, God is good! Oh, bless the Lord, for He is good and His mercy endures forever!
Let's read the whole Psalm 62.
Here's for our hearts to soak up with Ps. 62:1-2
I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from Him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken.

Jesus is the Rock. We are standing on the rock which will not be shaken. Remember Jesus telling the story of a house built on the rock. Rain came. Wind blew hard against the house. The house still stands strong.
How? By soaking up God's Word in our hearts! We will not be shaken because Jesus is the Rock! That's the victory we have from Him!

Read another verse that repeats! Psalm 62:5-6
Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken.

Notice the word: fortress? That's our strong tower! We can run to the tower, there we will not be shaken. Wow, notice three words: Rock, Salvation and Fortress!!! We are very secure in Jesus who is our Rock, our Salvation, and our Fortress!
Final word is this: Jesus is our HOPE.
When we put our hope in Jesus, then we have victory in Jesus!

Good morning! Today I read Psalm 60. The last 2 verses hit my heart, knowing how true that we need God's help because we cannot do on our own. If we try on our own, we fail. If we call on God for help, it will succeed.

Ok, let's read Psalm 60:11-12.
Oh, please help us against our enemies, for all human help is useless.
With God’s help we will do mighty things, for He will trample down our foes.

Spiritual world:
Satan, sin, death, hell

Physical world: health, finance, education, politics, workplace, families, friends, and faith

Whatever we face obstacles in life, we try to work out, try to solve, try to compromise, try to cooperate but still feel very much oppressed. We hurt. We cry. We feel confused. We get angry. We back out. We go forward. On and on and on. Nothing happened. Then we look up to God for help. He will step down to help, to relieve, to rescue, to strengthen, to sustain and whatever God knows what we need from Him.

Look at God parting the Red Sea. Look at God rain down quails and manna. Look at God splitting the rocks to open up bursting with water. Yes, nothing is too hard for God. Let God be God in your life. Let God be Your Provider. Let God be Your Savior. Let God be Your Healer. Jesus is all we need. He is everything! He is mighty to save. He is mighty to deliver. He is mighty to heal. He is Almighty God!!!
