It truly has been an honor to be commissioned by Tiger Athletic Foundation to create this commemorative piece of artwork to celebrate the monumental centennial birthday of Tiger Stadium! I wanted my artwork to reflect the highest of energy that only LSU’s loyal fans show every game day, especially in “Death Valley”. Our great state has only one SEC school, so when LSU plays, we forget about everything else and unite as ONE! I hope that when you see this print, you’re instantly transported to LSU’s game day in Death Valley… you’re filled with excitement and anticipation alongside countless fans to encourage our Tigers on to a big “W”! Who’s ready for this year’s season?!?! Let’s GEAUX TIGAHS! 🥁 🐅 💜💛

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Richard Emery Zuschlag, a beloved member of the Tiger Athletic Foundation Board from 2009-16 and an Executive Committee Member from 2013-16. His unwavering commitment to LSU Athletics has left a lasting legacy that we will always remember. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
The LSU community is mourning the loss of our dear friend, Richard Emery Zuschlag, who was a member of the Board of Supervisors since 2020 and chair of the Board’s Finance and External Affairs committees, as well as a former Tiger Athletic Foundation Board of Directors member. His service to the Board of Supervisors, especially his leadership on critically important committees responsible for finances and external affairs, yielded an enduring influence on our university. Through his generosity, many students have received scholarships allowing them the opportunity to receive a degree from LSU.
His legacy will live on in the tremendous positive impact he made on Louisiana, LSU, and all who knew him. We are grateful for his service to the university, the state, and his local community in Lafayette, and our hearts and prayers are with his wife, Elaine, his three children and nine grandchildren, and his extended family and friends. He will be forever missed by the LSU family.
Good luck to LSU Track & Field at the NCAA Championships this week in Eugene, Oregon!
