Congratulations Cressida on finding your furrever home! We know you definitely won the lottery with your new mom!🥰
🤎 Rykard 🤎
This lovable boy is the biggest goofball you will ever meet, and will always know how to put a smile on your face! Rykard has lots of energy and could play fetch or go for walks all day long. He does absolutely wonderful with other dogs (meet and greets required)! We’re unsure how he is with cats, but he does have a pretty high prey drive due to him likely being a hound/pointer mix. Rykard is very outgoing and loves everyone he meets, kids included. He could use some training on basic manners, such as not jumping onto people. Rykard is 1 year old, 58lbs, neutered and up to date on vaccines!
Noir and Sunny found their furrever homes today! Thank you for adopting!❤️
Please help us find their homes!
The male dog was found in the Bardwell Park area on August 12th. The male cat was found at Itasca Loop on August 11th. They will both be on stray hold until August 27th!
Meet our dog and cat of the week, Henny🐶 and Rumor🐱!
Henny is a 1.5 year old Shar Pei mix, 60lbs, spayed and up to date on vaccines. She is the happiest girl ever who loves everyone she meets! Henny is dog-selective, and seems to prefer male dogs over females. She plays amazingly with other dogs! We are looking for a no-cat home for Henny. Tug of war and playing in water is Henny’s favorite, she would love the lake!
Rumor is a 4 year old spayed female, who is a bit overweight. She will need to stay on a diet and get lots of exercise in her new home. Rumor is an extremely shy cat, and will need lots of time and patience to get comfortable in a new home. She is as sweet as honey and loves affection! Rumor gets along great with other cats with long and proper introductions.

ON THE LATEST CHATPOD: Great River Rescue Executive Director Marina Lovell and Zeus joined Kev to talk (and bark) about what's going on at Great River. There are a number of dogs and cats looking for forever homes, but the shelter also needs foster families, and have a number of things going on (including Pint Night tonight at Bemidji Brewing). update 8/15: OWNER FOUND!
Please help us find this kitties home! This beautiful girl arrived to us from the Bemidji City Pound, and was wearing a collar. If you think she is your cat, we will have you describe the collar as well as show proof. She will be on stray hold until 8/20.
Meet our dog and cat of the week, Rykard🐶 and Dusty🐱!
Rykard is a 1 year old hound mix, neutered and up to date on vaccines. This large boy is 58lbs of pure love and energy! He could play fetch forever and loves going for walks. He seems to enjoy other dogs (meet and greets required) but due to him likely being a hound mix, cats would not be recommended. Rykard is very eager to please, and would make a wonderful addition to a family.
Dusty is a 4 month old female kitten who came to us extremely shy, but has opened up tremendously. She has very soft and silky fur, and she loves getting all the pets. She does well with cats after long, proper introductions. She is scheduled to get spayed September 7.
Another successful Pet Fixers clinic in the books!✅ A total of 35 dogs and 42 cats were fixed this weekend. A huge thanks to all of our volunteers, Jennifer Aakre, Daniel Domeier, Rebecca McConkey-Greene, Jean Brown, Michael Wilson, Kelly Reid, Robert Stone, Cindy Kessem, Makaela LaFerriere, and Barbara Lottmann. Can’t wait to do it again next month!💚💙
