The Critical Language Scholarship (clscholarship.org) application opens tomorrow (Oct. 3)! CLS is a fully-funded government scholarship program allowing undergraduate/graduate students to study 1 of 13 languages (some require previous study, others do not) abroad or online over the summer. 💻🌎📌



This scholarship is only open to U.S. citizens.
Students in their senior year may apply! 🎓

Happy first day of classes! As you plan your academic year, remember that Berea College's internal deadline for winter/spring study abroad, Watson Fellowship nominations, and U.S. Fulbright program endorsements is September 15, 2023. ✈️

Apply through VIA (https://berea.via-trm.com) for Berea's approval for winter/spring study abroad opportunities.✏️

If you want to apply for the Watson Fellowship and are graduating in December or May, (https://watson.foundation), email Kathryn King ( [email protected]) to be added to the portal.

Tomorrow! TGIT- Think Globally, It's Thailand Thursday! This will be our second and final TGIF of the semester, but getting back to a more normal schedule this fall. Zach Scott will present on his fall term in Thailand.

Doors open at 11:30am, 44 seats available for Berea College students. Lunch will be served at noon, to include Thai inspired khao soi with mango sticky rice for dessert, tea and water. After which, we will hear from Zach, and be done in time for 1pm labor and classes.

Limited Edition TGIF!! Tomorrow noon o'clock. Hunter McDavid will discuss his study abroad in Costa Rica and we will have LUNCH!! There are a limited number of seats, and the doors will open at 11:30am, first come, first served.
