Hey GPPers! This week, we want to showcase this semesterās GPP 196 class hard at work here in Blum Hall. GPP 196 is the programās reflection seminar that students take embarking on their Practice Experience, and the course focuses on exploring how global poverty and inequality shape future academic, personal, and career paths. Led by GPPās very own Professor Kadir, this discussion and activity revolved around Chimamanda Adichieās āThe Danger of a Single Storyā and Arundhati Royās chapter entitled āPeace is Warā.
Jumana and Kaylee, two of our GPP Peer Advisors, are in our 196 section this semester. Jumanaās takeaway this week revolved around storytelling and the importance of identifying, reflecting on, and even countering existing narratives around both the communities we are a part of and the communities our Practice Experiences worked with.
Hey GPP Community! This semesterās declaration deadline is coming up on Tuesday, March 12. Be sure to attend a GPP Info Session, submit your declaration form, or schedule a meeting with a Peer Advisor!
