The Peopleโs Agenda is a national campaign that lifts up a collective set of priorities from local organizers with lived experience in foster care from the grassroots that will be used to create change at the local, state, and national level.
As part the Listening Phase of our Campaign - we are lifting up the priorities of local groups led by people with lived experience, launching a national survey to hear from people inside and outside our network, and holding a Town Hall to inform and select our priorities this year.
State-level data will be shared back to local foster-led groups to support local organizing efforts!

We want to shine on our partners Law Center's Advocates Transforming Youth Systems who are demanding critical funding for housing go specifically to youth and dreaming up a city with housing for all! Last Week FYIA kicked off the New Mexico Foster Power Summit with Luvya Nm at the amazing La Plazita Institute!! Bringing together young people with lived experience in foster care from across the state to 1) build foster power in NM, 2) create a collective vision for NM rooted in community, and 3) building a foundation for youth-led systems change!
We are excited to continue our work this year as we meet again virtually for day two of the NM Foster Power Summit this Friday, diving deeper into base building and membership structure. Next we start organizing!
