With more home shows this week and next I neglected to follow up with a recap of our 2024 camp season!
A huge Thank you to everyone that sent their kids to us! It was a very busy year for sure! We had a lot of kids attend that we only get to see during camp. Many come from far away, including at least 3 from other countries!
Some of the attendees are regular students and many become regular students.
We also experimented with a few new activities this year that some of the campers really enjoyed. Ok, maybe I enjoyed them, too.
⭐️ Horse charcuterie boards
⭐️ Horse terrariums
Enrolling your child(ren) into camp this year also entitled them to a $25 voucher to be used towards a future lesson! I didn’t get to physically hand one to everyone, and I’m not sure how many actually made it home, but rest assured they will be honored. Lessons need to be scheduled in advance and can be done via texting me 607-206-1670. Be sure to include your name, child’s name, and what your availability is and I will follow up with options. These vouchers are good through the end of the year. Lesson prices are based on different types, and the balance of each lesson would be due in addition to the voucher. If you are a regular Unity student already just let me know when you want to redeem it/them.
Again, a huge THANKS to everyone that sent their kids/grandkids/nieces and nephews/friends kids.
We look forward to the 2025 Summer Camps!
Our final entries are in!
Our 2024 journey to the Retired Racehorse Project in Kentucky is becoming more real! In less than 2 months we travel with our OTTB’s Elite Banker (Tilly), and Always Positive (Pickles) to compete in Dressage with both, and also hunters with Tilly.
Both horses are coming along very well! We are so excited to make this trip and hope for a great experience for all.
Today we held the 2nd of 3 shows in the Unity Stables 2024 series. What a fantastic day it was. The rain was light enough to finish all of the jumping divisions before we ventured indoors to complete the flat sections of the day. We ended with a rainbow this evening that made for some nice pics.
Every rider did amazing! Some of the divisions had a LOT of entries in them. Our $ added Handy stakes class had over 20 riders, making for a nice payout to the top 6 placings.
Our RRP Tb’s were both ridden by Olivia Hegedus, and were beyond impressive. Pickles even got a 1st. Woohoo 🥳 Every ride is one step closer to our journey to Kentucky in October.
These shows mean a lot to a lot of our riders that work so hard for it. We appreciate all of the helpers that make them possible. I could never do it without you all.
The next and final show of the series is Saturday, August 31. ➡️ less than a month away!!
Camp update:
We are halfway through week 3, with weeks 4, 5, 6, 7 remaining.
Week 4 has a good number of open spaces. Unless I receive more for next week, I will be able to accept the daily or partial week registrations. This option isn’t on the registration form as it needs to go through me for approval. Message me if you want to do 1 or 2 days, prorated.
Weeks 5, 6, and 7 are seeing daily registrations and may end up filling. If you want a spot be sure to sign up soon!
The registration form link is pinned to the top of this page.
We have space to add a few more campers this week. Camps run Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday, from 9-4.
Because of it being a smaller week we can also accept partial week attendees. One or two day options are available.
Contact me to register.
Part of today’s camp itinerary was venturing over to Butler Show Stable and watching Haley and Wex jump over the children.
Ok, maybe not for real, but they got to see some big jumps!
Some of this weeks camp fun! And, a couple other pics to share as well. Videos posted in comments.
We still have some spots left for next weeks camp. Register today via the link on our page.
What an amazing first week for our summer camp! We fit a LOT of FUN into the 3 days. Nonstop activities kept these kids learning and experiencing things they’ve never done before.
Our perfect ponies, and awesome helpers kept everyone safe and happy. The resident polar bear thinks she should always be the center of attention. Lots of kids are probably sleeping sound tonight.
Week 2 is FULL. There is still some space in weeks 3-7.
I apologize for not getting nearly enough pics. I missed getting any of our artwork that everyone’s favorite horse did!

We are so thankful for the support from EquestriOn Challenges. What a fun opportunity! I hear the ribbons are amazing, too!
Off Track Thoroughbreds have a special place in our hearts, as such, our May challenge will be the Running for Roses Benefit Challenge.
This year’s challenge will contribute to the fundraising efforts of two young riders, Olivia Hegedus and Emma Rexford, to travel to Kentucky and compete at the Retired Racehorse Project’s 2024 Thoroughbred Makeover. The horses they will be competing with are owned by Unity Stables in Binghamton NY. Olivia will present Elite Banker a 2020 bay mare and Emma will present Always Positive a 2020 bay gelding.
For each entry in our challenge this year we will make a $10 contribution to Olivia and Emma’s funding raising efforts for their trip to KY. If they are unable to attend or we raise more than they need those funds will be donated to Thoroughbred aftercare non-profits.
Registration is now open!

It’s April 1st, 2024! All jokes aside, today marks an anniversary that has been reached because of soo many of you making it possible.
HAPPY 20th to UNITY STABLES!
It’s been mostly great, and usually fun! 😂I’ve raised my own kids around it, and attempted to provide learning, life experiences, and countless opportunities to all ages of everyone that ever became a part of our barn family. With so many of you, I have laughed, cried, beamed with pride, bragged about your achievements, negotiated life decisions.. I’ve seen many of you grow up, become parents yourself.
Again, none of this would be possible without all of YOU!
I could go on and on, but I’d like to ask that you provide me with the best memory you’ve had with Unity over the last 20. For most of you that will be difficult to narrow down. I could share some doozies, but that’s for another day.
THANK YOU to EVERYONE that made it possible!
Love to you all!
We are super Thankful that this challenge benefits some of our Unity riders! What a cool opportunity for everyone! Be sure to check out her other challenges, too!

I am thrilled to announce that two of my most deserving students have been accepted into the Retired Racehorse Project’s 2024 Tb makeover. I have always loved the Ottb’s, and had recently acquired 2 that meet the eligibility requirements for this year’s makeover. As long as all goes as planned, 🤞, we will travel to Kentucky in October to compete.
Translated for my non-horse friends: A competition where we retrain former Thoroughbred racehorses for a second career.
From 40 states, 396 individuals have been accepted as trainers. Olivia Hegedus, and Emma Rexford have been accepted as 2 of the 45 youth that will compete. These girls are some of the most dedicated and passionate riders that have come through the Unity Stables program. Most of all, they have always put the horse first!
Fun fact: Many Thoroughbreds sell at auctions at a young age. Oftentimes, they sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars, or more. Thanks to places like New Vocations, they provide a go between for these horses to transfer to the second career homes for a fraction of the cost. Allowing people like us the opportunity to affordably have a horse with a lot of potential talent.
Olivia will be working with “Elite Banker”, aka “Tilly” (Central Banker x Properintroduction). She is a 2020 bay mare that I knew I had to have the moment I saw her. She is gorgeous, with just a touch of sass. 😉
From his goofy name to his goofy personality, Emma will be working with “Always Positive”, aka “Pickles” (Always Dreaming x Harlan Light). He is also a 2020 that will provide entertainment to us along the journey.
Due to the young age of both horses, they will both be a dressage candidate. If their training goes well, and we aren’t rushing anything, we will consider hunters if we feel they are ready mentally and physically.
The process of training these horses and providing them with a second career is one these girls will take seriously, but also having fun with them along the way. We intend to provide them with good experiences and a solid foundation to ensure they continue to have a lot to offer for many years to come.
Please continue to watch for updates and info. If anyone is interested in sponsoring or donating towards the journey, we would welcome it. We will be sharing some fundraising info soon. Many have already inquired with how they can help and we are very grateful for you.
