Hello Poplar Bridge families!

Our PTSA is looking to fill our Treasurer position for the upcoming 2024/2025 school year! A brief descripion is below:

Time Commitment is approx. 2-5hrs/month Responsibilities include helping manage the PTSA finances, keeping accurate records of income and expenses, helping create budgets and ensuring transparency.

If you are a person who is organized, good with numbers, likes to have fun and be involved in your students school and community, we woud love to hear from you!

Join us this Tuesday for Family Engineering night at Poplar Bridge! The event kicks off at 6:00 pm and runs until 7:30 pm. Enjoy complimentary pizza and drinks, courtesy of the Works (while supplies last). A big thank you to the Works, Burns McDonnell, and Banner for their support in making this event happen. We can't wait to see you there!

HELP NEEDED for 2024-25: We have several board & coordinator spots opening up the next school year, and need your help to keep the PTSA going.

Most importantly is the Treasurer position, as this one is required in order to function as a PTSA according to the MN PTA guidelines.

Chipotle Fundraiser for Poplar Bridge Elementary
Tuesday, 4/16, from 4-8pm at the 10629 France!

In addition to VEAP, the PTSA is also collecting used children’s books this week for our upcoming Read-Cycle event! We’d love for you to go through your home library to pass some books on to other PB kids!

The Bloomington Public Schools VEAP Food Drive is happening next week from April 15th to April 19th. We've organized some exciting events to boost motivation. We encourage everyone to join in, if possible, for this important district-wide event.

Hello! We are looking for volunteers to help run events on Field Day on Friday, May 10. No experience, equipment or athletic ability required. 😁 Kindergarten, 1st, & 2nd grades will be participating in events in the morning, and 3rd, 4th, & 5th will be in the afternoon.
You’ll receive instructions for your event as we get closer to the day and then lead a small group through the same activity. It’s pretty easy and tons of fun!

Hello PB Community. We're still looking for volunteers to help at the November 15th Bookfair & Bingo Night. Shifts are set in 30 minutes chunks so that you can enjoy the events and help, too.

Bookfair Bingo - Wednesday, Nov 15 6:00-7:30pm Hello! Thank you volunteering your time to our Poplar Bridge Bingo & Book Fair! This event is hosted in the lunchroom and media center. Bingo and concessions will be running from 6:00-7:30pm (plus setup & take down times) It takes many helpers to make this possible, and we couldn't do it without you...

Poplar Bridge Elementary Families! We want to say a HUGE “Thank you!” to our students, staff, and donors for this incredible Poplar Bridge Polar Dash fundraiser.
Here are our final stats:

💲We raised over $26,000 for outdoor classroom fund, science enrichment opportunities (Science with Scientists, The Works, Richardson Nature Center), PB Reads - Inclusive School-Wide Book Club, field trip bussing support, and classroom teacher funds. This will directly impact our students and staff!

🍨 We met our schoolwide fundraising goal of $20,000, so the students will get to turn Principal Cantu into a human ice cream sundae!

🤯 Our students completed 10,500 laps combined to help our school!

🥳 We celebrated our community coming together and created unforgettable memories at our Poplar Bridge Polar Dash event.

Thank you for your support of our school. We’re grateful for our Poplar Bridge Elementary community!

The book fair starts tomorrow! It's time to stock up on summer reading books!
Here is the book fair schedule:
Tuesday 5/23: 5:00-7:00pm
Wednesday & Thursday: 8-9am before school, then classroom shopping during the school day (k-2nd 9:00-10:00, and 3rd-5th 10:00-11:00)

The PB Spring Book fair is NEXT WEEK, and we are so excited and ready to go!!!

If you are interested in helping out, we’d love to have a few more people to help bag books, or help guide shoppers that need assistance. And we will also be in need of some help with take down on Thursday after shopping closes.
