Pizza is here and we are ready to go!

Remember, the last PTA Meeting of the year is tonight! Pizza will be onsite at 6PM, and the meeting will start at 6:30PM/6:45PM. We have much to cover with next year's Officers and Budget.

For those coming in person we have childcare available. We will still offer a Google Meet option at https://meet.google.com/qvq-szxq-vtk for those who cannot be there in person.

We are very thankful for all our teachers and staff! Today we treated them to an Olive Garden build your own pasta bar, salad, breadsticks, ravioli and tons of homemade desserts! Also a big thanks to Olive Garden who donated one of the pasta stations so we could do this within our budget.

Staff appreciation is coming up the week of May 6-10th. We will be using PTA funds to provide all staff with a lunch on Friday May 10th, but we need your help to stock the lounge with drinks, snacks and treats. All items may be dropped off in the office anytime starting May 6th, but if you sign up for treats for the lunch we would like those dropped off the morning of May 10th.

OMG! 😲😲😲 The Ridgeview Penny Challenge raised over $1,600 for VEAP this week! What a fantastic way to give back Rockets!

Congrats to the 1st Graders for winning extra tickets for tonight's Carnival starting at 6:30 PM.

The carnival is this Friday April 19th at 6:30pm and we have lots of exciting news to report. In addition to many fun games, bounce houses, snacks, and lots of wonderful kid raffle prizes there are also going to be 2 Food Trucks and an Adult Silent Auction!

The Adult Silent Auction will feature items such as: a family photography package, autographed pro sports items (Vikings and PWHL), a high-end salon gift basket, art classes, a family dinner and games at Full Tilt and a bunch more!

The menus for the 2 Food trucks: Egg Roll Queen and Purple People Feeder are shown below. Both these food trucks will take either cash or credit and have generously offered to donate some of their earnings from the night back to Ridgeview.

Also please note that if you have not yet purchased tickets that tickets still may be bought at the door. We hope to see you all there!

Carnival time is fast approaching and we still need some volunteers and donations! This year is set to be a bit bigger and better! It will include a silent auction for adults and there will also be several food trucks outside!

* The carnival committee also wanted us to mention that they could use help with Fish Pond donations.

Here are some possible examples for the fish pond:
-packaged fruit pouches
-fruit snacks
-individual small wrapped candy
-small slimes, play dough, kinetic sand, slinkies

* They are also looking for kids raffle items! They have some things already including Ride to school with a Police Officer!

Some other Ideas:

-Movie Night (movie theatre boxed candy, popcorn, blanket)
-Gardening (hand tools, seeds, and small pots)
-Crafts (needle point, soap making, candle making, dig eggs, rock painting etc)
-Legos
-Games
-Stuffed animals
-Anything else your child might want to win!!!

* Last, and probably most importantly we are still in need of volunteers to help the night of the carnival. We need volunteers to make this event happen so please think about helping out with a station!

Conferences are next week and we are planning to stock the staff lounge with snacks, drinks, and treats for the whole week. Huge thanks to everyone who has signed up so far. We only have a couple slots left to fill! Please bring your items to the office Monday February 26th or Tuesday February 27th. We will be using PTA funds to provide a meal for the staff on March 7th, but need your help to stock the lounge next week!

Excited for the Second Parent Social of the year at Northstar Tavern March 11th 6-9.

Huge thanks to all who volunteered and gave books to our Book Swap! It was a very busy week but we got over 3,000 books into the hands of kids and staff and also donated some to the Media Center. We will also be donating a couple boxes to another elementary school. We hope your students enjoy their new books and keep reading! Also don’t forget to look at your teacher’s wish list to see if they have any supply needs!

We are all ready for our first classes to shop the Book Swap on Monday! Huge thanks to all our volunteers who helped us move books back to school and also get them onto the tables! We really appreciate all our volunteers and also all who donated books!

Tomorrow our wonderful volunteers haul all these books back to school. This is AFTER we already took over three van loads today. Thanks to everyone who donated and the volunteers helping us haul the books back to school! Over 3,000 total books were donated!

Hello Rockets- February is a busy month for a lot of our regular lunch volunteers with the Book Swap. Helping out at lunch is a really fun way to get to know a lot of the kids and get a glimpse into your child's day. We would really appreciate the extra help, but you do need to be an approved volunteer!
