Tracyton United Methodist Church
Small enough to know you, large enough to serve you. A human-scale congregation rooted and grounded.
At Tracyton United Methodist Church, we are changing through the power of God’s love. Our mission is to know God, love God, and serve God as we make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
For Bible study we traced Abraham’s family tree through four generations to get ready to explore the story of Joseph this upcoming Sunday.
Lately in Bible Study we have been comparing stories that occur in multiple gospels and noting the similarities and differences. Today, we looked at the Parable of the Talents in Matthew, Mark, and Luke. This is often seen as a scary passage where we will be punished if we do not “earn” a good “return” on God’ “investment.” But, the landowner in the parable is by no means the model. He is by all accounts corrupt and vile. Is that how we envision our God? We pondered our reactions to this as well as a brilliant question from someone in the group: “what if this story is more about being cautious about what master you serve?”
We have recently been made aware that our office phone is not working. We do not know how long this has been the case. Sadly, when called, the number still seems to be up and running and is even accepting voicemails but we are not getting any calls or messages. If you have called recently and not received a response, we are very sorry. Please email us at [email protected] if you need to get in touch. You can also email our office administrator directly at [email protected] if you have any questions about using the building for events.
We can’t wait to see this!

For the "I've been meaning to ask..." series, A Sanctified Art LLC invited four guest contributors to write biblical commentary and explore weekly questions through video vignettes. Here are the voices who will help us dig deeper into scripture this series.
Some of the best conversations start with good questions—questions we’ve been meaning to ask, questions that keep us curious, and questions that lead us deeper into courage and connection. Our upcoming worship series from A Sanctified Art LLC centers around four guiding questions: “I’ve been meaning to ask... Where are you from?... Where does it hurt?... What do you need?... Where do we go from here?” As you can see, these questions aren’t surface level; they invite us to tell our stories, share our pain, care for one another, and dream about a new way forward together. Through vulnerability and authenticity, may our courageous conversations lead us to glimpse hope, joy, and beauty—and to become the community God created us to be.
