April celebrates the young heroes who stand strong behind our soldiers: the children of our military families. The success of our frontline heroes is deeply rooted in the love and support of their families and friends. Every February, we proudly observe Black History Month, a time to honor and reflect upon the significant contributions of African Americans throughout history. Black History Month originated from the efforts of Carter G. Woodson, known as the "Father of Black History," and other visionaries who recognized the importance of recognizing African American achievements.

Throughout this month, we are excited to share inspiring stories, achievements, and voices of African Americans in history and within our battalion. We'll shine a spotlight on their invaluable roles in shaping our military and the remarkable advancements they've made.
