We are so sad to learn of Molly B’s passing. She played an integral part in training our team in Bristol about our own facility dog. We are grateful to have met her. 💙💛
August 4, 2007 – June 16, 2021
Today we celebrate the life of the amazing Molly B. Molly was bred and trained by Canine Companions. She was lovingly puppy raised by the Ranish family of Mountain View, California. We will be forever grateful to them for all the love and attention they poured into Molly (known then as Bene) during her early life.
Molly came to Courthouse Dogs in October 2009, when there were only four courthouse facility dogs working around the world. Today there are over 330 facility dogs working in the legal system, and Molly has been an important part of that growth.
About 2 weeks ago, Molly developed a fast-growing oral melanoma. It caused no pain, and she continued to be able to enjoy her food in true Lab fashion. Yesterday she died peacefully at home on her own bed, in the arms of the two people she loved best in the world – she always wanted us to stay together.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Watauga Co. N.C. Sheriff’s Dept., along with the family and friends of Sgt. Chris Ward and Deputy Logan Fox.
