💕Raising Compassionate Kids💕
As a parent, it’s fun to dream about your child growing up to be an Olympic athlete, a brilliant scientist, a successful artist or the president of the United States. But in reality, most of us actually want our children to grow up to be kind, empathetic, caring people. Raising compassionate children sounds simple enough; if you are kind and caring, you hope that your little ones will turn out the same. However, research indicates that while children may be wired for good, whether their altruistic tendencies are nurtured as they grow up largely depends on their interactions with people like parents, teachers and friends.
As we are headed into the summer months, families might find themselves with more freedom and opportunity to create fun, meaningful moments that build and strengthen compassion in kids. While we want to focus on our kids’ hearts, sometimes we just don’t know how to start. Join us for a Parenting Lab discussion online on May 7 at 7:00 to share your questions, concerns, ideas and support with each other.

Here's what we learned yesterday in Kidspointe!
💗💗💗
Here's what we learned yesterday in our Elementary and Treehouse halls! We hope you have a great week 🎉
Our kids had some great questions on the story of Paul's letter to the Romans yesterday (Romans 12:9-18). We had fun unscrambling words and reflecting on what love truly means (hint: it is an action!)
Can't wait to see you all next week!
We had a great day with you all yesterday and loved seeing new and familiar faces!
We hope to see you next Sunday at our regular service time, 10am (Check in your kids from 9:45 up until 10:10).
The countdown is on until Easter!
Yesterday one of our fourth graders asked why we celebrate Jesus' death. One of our fifth graders responded that it's not so much the death we celebrate, but that it's the fact that when a woman went to the tomb she saw it empty. And that when Jesus appeared to her, she may have said "Oh my God, it's Jesus!" To which Jesus may have responded "Was-up -- I'm baaaack!"
We love getting to hear how our kids interpret the stories from the Bible each week. We are thankful that you entrust our team with your kids on Sunday mornings!
Here's what we learned this past Sunday in Kidspointe! We are so grateful for the time we get to spend with your kids 💕
We had so much fun playing and learning with your kids yesterday!
