JOIN US FOR GLOBAL AWARENESS EDUCATION WEEK SEPT. 18-21, 2024
Join us this week from Wednesday, Sept. 18 to Saturday, Sept. 21 for Global Awareness Education Week. The week begins Wednesday with a Cultural and Tourism Roundtable featuring Chacara Havin in the library. Weβll go off campus to Cordelia Park Pavilion Thursday evening for a community relations engagement panel called Think Local, Act Global. On Friday, JCSU will host an African Think Tank Pitch contest. Finally, we will host a Jollof Festival on The Block on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. We hope you will join us.

starts the first home game of the season with a touchdown on the first play of the game! The Golden Bulls go on to win 52-6 against Lincoln University in an absolute blow out to advance to 3-0. As you can see we had a full house already as Homecoming approaches! Tag who you know!

Dr. Valerie Kinloch, 15th President of Johnson C. Smith University, was a featured panelist on the "When Women Lead" panel at the Congressional Black Caucus in Washington, DC. The CBC HBCU Women's Luncheon is presented by Congresswoman Alma Adams.
Cynthia Marshal, CEO of the Dallas Mavericks, was the keynote speaker. Panelists included Dr. Kinloch, Dr. Roslyn Clark Artis, President, Benedict College, Dr. Tomika LeGrande, President of Prairie View A & M. Dr. Lisa Herring, President of the Propel Center served as moderator.
Doug E. Fresh & Sheryl Underwood were also on site with Dr. Kinloch & VP Joy Paige Springs.

Randell "Randy" Perkins always knew he wanted to join the military to pay for college.
Right out of high school, the Las Vegas native left the City of Lights to attend basic training. Due to his time in basic training and ongoing service as a cadet in the National Guard, Perkins has become the first JCSU cadet to sign his contract to serve in the military after graduation. When he walks across the stage to receive his diploma, Perkins will be commissioned into the U.S. military as an officer. Click the link to read more!

Today, the JCSU College of Business and Professional Studies will kick off a week-long celebration of Entrepreneurial Week. There are several events planned throughout the week, and food trucks will be on The Block every day. You can attend events each day to receive a food voucher. We hope to see you at some of our events this week.
