Semester in Spain (Los Carolinos) is still accepting applications! Take advantage of the new deadline and apply by April 15th! 🇪🇸

This is a semester-long, intensive Spanish language program at Universidad de Cantabria in Santander, Spain. Students will take courses from local professors at the in Spanish geography, literature, art, history and language. The best part of this program? Students can complete the Spanish minor in one semester! ⭐️

The program is designed for students at the intermediate level who are currently completing SPAN 2202 or taking it in the summer semester. This program is not intended for native speakers or high level speakers finishing a Spanish degree. 

But wait! There’s more! Students who apply to Semester in Spain for the Fall 2024 semester may be eligible to apply for a $1500 scholarship! That would make the cost of the program nearly the same as (or even less than) the cost of attending UNC Charlotte.

The International Crafting Table Event returns! This event will provide students with the opportunity to explore different crafts from around the world and engage with different cultures through art. Students can make their own origami animals, Turkish tiles and more! 🎨🖌️✂️🗺️

The International Craft Table will be held in Student Union 261 on March 25th from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Hope to see you there!

Credit to our Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Jennifer Troyer, for detailing her experience about her time with our spring break education abroad programs!

I spent the most exciting week traveling with Joel Gallegos visiting students and faculty who are part of University of North Carolina at Charlotte’s spring break education abroad programs. Our first stop was Paris, where I enjoyed spending some time with two groups of students being led by Cindy Fox, Anita Blanchard, and Erin Knaul. We enjoyed the beautiful city while learning about France’s entrepreneurship community, international sports marketing, and cultural differences in how employers operate.

I’ll share some additional experiences from my trip in the upcoming days.
