We're Back! Join us on Wednesday, July 28, at 12:30 pm EST for a special "Back to School" with Calling Dr. Coffman.
On April 29, 2020, Chattanooga pediatrician Dr. R Allen Coffman and PBS host Alison Goldstein Lebovitz launched the very first "Calling Dr. Coffman" on Facebook Live, hoping to create a relatable and accessible forum to answer common questions about COVID-19 and to bring a little comfort and peace to each other and to those around them. More than 13 months and 54 shows later, it's time we hang up our headsets - at least for now, and hopefully for the foreseeable future. But as we do, we must send grace and gratitude to Dr. Kathleen Hunt for being the spark for these fiery conversations, our special on-air guests, including Dr. Kim Gaines Eckert, Dr. Jeff Eckert, Lakweshia Ewing, and Milbrey and Roger Coffman, our esteemed on-the-road production manager, Joanne Coffman, and to everyone who tuned in weekly or just once in a while, dealt with our technical challenges, asked poignant and personal questions and joined our village to help us all navigate these uncharted waters together. We aren't quite to the end of this COVID ordeal yet, but thanks to all of you and everyone who chose community over convenience, safety over socializing, and grace over groaning, we know we will get there soon!
