Happy FRIYAY afternoon church family!! I hope you all enjoyed the NFL being back last night, I know I did! Speaking of strong dudes... men, TOMORROW MORNING @ 8am in the gym we are having breakfast and fellowship here at HVCC!!

Again, ALL men are invited to breakfast and fellowship THIS Saturday, September 7, aka TOMORROW, at 8:00 a.m. in the gym.

I truly encourage you to come and hang out with some of the most awesome men in town while chowing down on some good ole breakfast food- does it get any better? But seriously, we would love to have you and there is a seat at the table with your name on it- I hope to see some friends we just haven't met yet too!

Happy beautiful Friday afternoon church family and friends I haven't met yet! I hope you are enjoying the sunshine and looking forward to the best day of the week- SUNDAY!

I wanted to do something a little different today, I'd love to ask for people that are comfortable with this to comment down below anything prayer requests you have, a tough season you are walking through, anything at all- so we can come alongside you, all of us at HVCC's family, pray for you and encourage you, be anxious with you so it isn't just you, or just so you know you have a friend and a family that cares.

God is active, prayer is oxygen for the believer, so I encourage all of us to pray along side any requests, serve or help in any way we can, and to remain hopeful. Never, ever give up.

Another beautiful thing about prayer is how it is this powerful way of aligning our will to God's. Just having that quiet (sometimes loud) time in conversation with our Heavenly Father, meeting Him in His Word, and to lay bare at His throne and His promises can mean the absolute world to continuing to persevere through whatever it is you are walking through right now. You NEVER walk alone.

Have a wonderful weekend church family, continue to walk in hope and light of God's love for you, and we'd love to pray for you and come alongside. See you all soon!

Community is integral to the human experience, and incredibly so to the live of the believer. One of my favorite blessings from God, one of the most awesome things He reveals in His Word that He cares about, is FELLOWSHIP! It's the best, just knowing you aren't alone and you are WANTED and USHERED into His family, our church family.

Here are some incredible opportunities for community groups that I encourage ANYONE reading this to take full advantage:

Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. -

Bible Recap - this is an already existing class led by Romona Palmer. (Sanctuary level classroom)

Christ Centered Character - is a new class starting August 25, that is an interactive seminar focusing on Spiritual growth and personal leadership led by James Johnson. (Choir Room)

Adult Community Group - All parents, grandparents, or anyone interested in the lives of our children and student ministries are invited to join Don & Molly Hopkins. They will be discussing the issues and trials facing the next generation. (Sanctuary level classroom).

Youth will start meeting on August 25. (2nd floor classroom near the Fellowship Hall)

Children will continue to have Sunday School and Children's Church.

Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. -

Adult Community Group will resume on August 21, led by Jack Dyer. (Fellowship Hall)

Spiritual Discipline led by Rich Allen. (Choir Room)

Reboot - for combat veterans led by Ben Faczan. (2nd floor classroom near the Fellowship Hall)

Youth Group in the gym.

Childcare will be provided.

Let me say that last part again, childcare will be provided! Can I get an amen church!?

These are led by some of the most warm, wonderful, and passionate about God and His people, well, people that you will ever come in contact with. These are leaders that truly don't believe in strangers, but God and His family that we are called to be.

Come on down, we'd love to have you! Have an amazing end to your week everyone, I hope we have all enjoyed the brisk high 80s- I'll take it over 90s any day of the week and twice on Sunday! 20s>90s.

I hope anyone interested in this signed up this past Sunday, but I still wanted to highlight it because marriage is amazing and this seminar is going to be infinitely valuable to your marriage or future marriage!

This one day Marriage Seminar will be offered on Saturday, August 24, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. in the Choir Room, with a light breakfast and lunch provided.

Again, signups were this past Sunday but I wanted to just highlight one of the awesome going-ons here at Hickory Valley Christian Church!

We will be having a church work day on Saturday, August 3, starting at 8:00 a.m. We will be working both inside and outside the building. Breakfast will be provided. Come when you are able.

Hello church family!!!

We look forward to being together tomorrow for a special worship service in the gym at 10:15 am. Note: we will not be able to host our live stream on social media this Sunday due to being in the gym.

Good evening church family!! I hope you all are enjoying our stay in the incredible book of Ecclesiastes! It is definitely a book that invites questions, and we would love to have the opportunity to explore yours!

On Sunday, July 28th we will have a special service during our 10:15 a.m. worship service in the gym. As our Ecclesiastes series draws to a close, we will discuss any questions you have surrounding the wisdom of Ecclesiastes and its theological implications.

Those questions may be submitted BY THIS SUNDAY. There will be pieces of paper in the pew clipboards for you to write your questions on. Questions may be submitted anonymously in our offering box or emailed to [email protected].

I encourage you all to submit your questions and not let us leave this amazing book of wisdom with burning questions unasked!

Gooooooooooood morning church family! Where are the movie lovers!? I know it isn't just me! Well, we have something for the those cinephiles that also happen to be youngin's- have the youth experience a drive-in movie EXPERIENCE!

All youth are invited to go to a drive-in movie at the Wilderness Outdoor Movie Theater in Trenton, GA. on Friday, July 19. The movie cost is $7.00 and bring extra for concessions. Meet at the church at 7:15 p.m.

Fun, fellowship, and cinema.. it simply doesn't get any better. I hope to see so many there, please spread the word!

Happy humpday church family!!

I wanted to give a huge thank you + ask for prayers for our incredible Jamaica mission team and their upcoming trip!

Thank you to everyone who provided funds this past Sunday to help with hurricane relief for our sister church in Sav la Mar. We were able to send them $370.00 on Monday to help with the purchase of much needed food supplies.

And please be in prayer for our mission team as they head down to Jamaica July 16 - 23, in service of our amazing God and to serve some incredible people and communities!
