We had an amazing time with the College Ministry at our Puppies & Popsicles event yesterday! Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the sunshine, sweet treats, and furry friends. It was a perfect way to unwind and connect with each other.
The Vine Worship Service
Last month, our very own ABIDE Respite Ministry was featured on the news! ABIDE is more than just a program—it’s a safe haven of friendship and fun for participants and a rejuvenating break for caregivers. Our ministry is dedicated to actively engaging those affected by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
Program activities include:
- Music and Pet Therapy
- Chair Exercise
- Arts and Crafts
- Intergenerational Activities
- Service Projects
ABIDE is always looking for volunteers to join this impactful ministry. They meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Oak Street Center. If you’re interested, reach out to Brandi Anderson at [email protected].

As the new school year approaches, we're excited to kick off both our Youth and Children's Ministry activities! Join us on August 18th for our Back-To-School Parent and Volunteer Meeting. The Children's Ministry will meet at 9:45am in the Elementary Worship Space (Oak Street Playhouse theatre) and the Youth Ministry will meet at 12:00pm in the Pit located in the Student Center. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our ministries, ask questions, and find out how you can get involved. Whether you're a parent, a current volunteer, or someone interested in the program, we welcome you to come and connect with our team. Let's make this school year amazing together!
Our youth had an incredible time at Camp Lookout yesterday! From all sorts of games to a water wars battle, there was no shortage of fun and laughter. And of course, they enjoyed cooling off with a swim in the pool. It was a perfect way to wrap up the summer and get ready for the new school year!
Prime Time Wednesday is back!
Join us for Prime Time Wednesdays starting on August 14th and running through October 23rd! We will begin with a delicious meal at 5:30 p.m. in The Vine and have our classes at 6:30 p.m. The Children’s Program starts at 6:15 p.m. and the Youth Program starts at 6:30 p.m.

Hey young adults (ages 18-25)! Join the College Ministry for a river tubing adventure on August 10th at 10:00am. We’ll meet at First-Centenary and take a church van to the Lower Ocoee River. The cost is just $5 per person, which includes a sack lunch. Don't miss out on this fun-filled day of floating down the beautiful Lower Ocoee River. See you at the church at 10am!

This past Sunday we celebrated Move Up Day and Blessing of the Backpacks. It was a joy to see everyone stepping into their next grade levels and receiving blessings for a successful and fulfilling year ahead. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made this day so special. Let’s continue to support and encourage our students as they begin this new journey. Here's to a fantastic school year!
What an amazing time we had at the 5th-6th Grade Lock-In! This past weekend, our young adventurers spent the night at the Tennessee Aquarium, exploring the wonders of the deep sea. From interactive exhibits to exciting activities, the night was filled with laughter, learning, and lots of fun. A big thank you to everyone who joined us and made this event such a success!
From July 14-23, our youth group traveled on a life-changing mission trip to Romania! They spent the week serving, learning, and growing together while experiencing the rich culture and beautiful landscapes. From building and community outreach projects to connecting with the local church, our youth made a huge difference!
What a fantastic time we had at "Popsicles in the Park" yesterday! The kids enjoyed lots of fun activities, including carousel rides, tightrope walking, and of course, delicious popsicles. It was a joy to see so many smiling faces and happy families. Thank you to everyone who came out and made the day special!
Our youth had an incredible time at Triple P! They hiked through a beautiful trail to reach Blue Hole, where they enjoyed jumping and swimming in a creek. It was a day full of excitement, fun, and great memories!

We had a great time at Mission u this past weekend! Mission u is a transformative educational program offering both Bible-based curricula and engaging events. Each year, United Women in Faith develops three justice-focused Biblical curricula for adults, youth, and children, all centered on a common theme. This year's theme was "The Kin-dom Is Among You: Drawing Closer to God and One Another." Thanks to everyone who came out and joined us!
