ArtsBuild is thrilled to present the 2024 Ruth Holmberg Arts Leadership Awards to Cam Busch, Rita Lorraine Hubbard, Olan and Norma Mills, and Anna Baker VanCura. The event chairs of the 2nd Annual InterMission are Monica and Adam Kinsey and Alison and Alan Lebovitz.
Experience the vibrant energy as we transform the Chattanooga Theatre Centre's lawn with local performers, live music, and a festive carnival atmosphere. Later, join us in the Mainstage Theatre for a brief program where we will honor this year’s recipients for their lifelong commitment to enriching Chattanooga's cultural landscape. Lt. Julius Hubbard (Engine 6 Red Shift) and his team have caught the attention of Google! Their company (Firesight Studios) and mobile game, Palette Splash, are being featured as part of Google’s “ U.S.” campaign. Palette Splash is a puzzle game where players mix and match colors to complete challenges. Congrats on the incredible milestone!

Congratulations and thanks to arts and humanities advocates! Two House of Representatives floor amendments, offered by Rep. Josh Brecheen (R-OK) to cut funding to the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) by $48 million each, were soundly defeated on July 23. The NEA amendment was defeated by voice vote, while the NEH amendment was defeated by a recorded vote of 269-to-147.
