So proud of our graduates!

Here's another great review from one of Array's recent graduates:
"I loved the hands-on approach. Every new skill I learn was directly applied to a project, which allowed for short-term wins and long-term wins.
This immersive environment gave me the opportunity to consistently reinforce what I learned and how it can be applied.
Array provided me with a solid foundation in programming. I learned various languages and frameworks along with debugging and problem solving skills. Much of these skills can be carried to new languages and frameworks.
Array also helped build a small but strong professional network which helped introduce me to various local developers and companies.
Thanks to the skills and experience I gained at Array, I'm now a Full Stack Software Developer at a Leak Detection Software company.
We use machine learning and various data processing to catch leaks in oil, gas, and water pipelines. We have an expansive UI for Data Visualization and Model Configuration."

Girls Who Code Grant Match

We are happy to announce that Array Foundation is granting $25,000 and Pinnacle Bank is matching the grant for Children's Museum of Cheyenne. The Array Foundation promotes education and has a special interest in computer coding education. These funds will help build classrooms within the museum that will later host Girl's Who Code, a program sponsored by the Array Foundation in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

According to Amy Surdam, member of the Array Foundation, "We are thrilled to support Children's Museum of Cheyenne. Their efforts to educate children in downtown Cheyenne through hands-on, interactive learning is aligned with our mission to promote computer education. Providing children with a positive, safe place to learn is essential. We are so excited to see this facility being built in downtown Cheyenne!"

While the museum is being built, the next Girl's Who Code cohort will be held in downtown Cheyenne. This cohort will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the evenings from June 20-July 20, 2023 at the Array School of Technology and Design in downtown Cheyenne. Check out the careers you can pursue after Array!

Thinking of attending Array’s 4-month Full-Stack Web Development boot camp? You may be wondering, “Then what?” The good news is - the sky’s the limit! Here are some promising career paths for you to consider once you graduate:

1. Front-End Developer – Front-end developers are responsible for a website or application's interface and design, ensuring it looks great and runs smoothly. To become a successful front-end developer you will need to be conversant in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

2. Database Administrator – Database administrators build and maintain databases, ensuring the necessary data storage and security. They focus on the programming, setup, and maintenance of databases, making sure that data is stored, manipulated, and secured effectively.

3. Software Architect – A software architect is an IT professional in a high-level role; they are the chief technical architects in organizations. These professionals are responsible for designing, implementing, and improving software systems. To do this, they must deeply understand software programming and technologies.

4. Programmer Analyst – Programmer analysts are usually responsible for creating and revising computer programs and making them work. They will also assist in creating strategies and plans for software development and often serve as a liaison between the organization's technical and business sides.

5. UX/UI Designer – UX (User Experience) and UI (User Interface) Designers specialize in researching what the end user needs or wants then putting that research into action.

6. Product Manager - Product Managers are integral to a company's success as they are responsible for the management of products throughout the product life-cycle. This includes developing the initial idea behind a product, designing it, and overseeing its development and launch. Product Managers must also think strategically, be organized, pay attention to detail, and possess strong people management skills.

In addition to the above-mentioned career paths, a Full Stack Web Development boot camp may open up several additional opportunities. Companies seek developers to help them stay ahead of competitors and develop cost-effective, innovative, and reliable solutions. Regardless of your chosen option, your hard work in obtaining the required web development skills will pay off!

Doing great things!

We wanted to share this wonderful letter from a previous student:

I am writing to share my experiences at Array and how it has shaped my career since completing the course. I hope it inspires others to pursue their dreams in the tech industry.

1. What did I love about the coding bootcamp?

- I truly appreciated the flexibility and support provided by the faculty at the bootcamp. They recognized my potential early on and never stifled my growth, allowing me to progress at my own pace. I was always compelled to keep digging deeper. The bootcamp's focus on teaching coding fundamentals set me up for success in my career, and I am grateful for the guidance and encouragement I received from the instructors.

2. How did the bootcamp help to prepare me for my career?

- The coding bootcamp not only equipped me with essential web development skills, but also prepared me for the challenges of mobile app development. The team went above and beyond to find me mobile app development work, even though I was not an expert at the time. This hands-on experience allowed me to learn on the job and quickly build a strong foundation in app development. The skills I acquired during the bootcamp have been invaluable in my journey as a developer.

3. What am I doing now?

- Since completing the bootcamp, I have developed three mobile apps: Explore The Cell, Start Note, and my latest release, What It Is. The latter is an AI-powered educational app that presents a variety of topics and glossaries, offering users an engaging and effective learning experience. Users are sent push notifications based on subscription to glossaries, and from there, are compelled to tap the Cyclone, which will lead them to interact directly with artificial intelligence to further explore their education. I am incredibly proud of this app and believe it has the potential to revolutionize how people learn.
In addition to managing the company behind What It Is, I am also employed full-time as an automation engineer and QA engineer at Blue Federal Credit Union. I use the development skills I learned at the bootcamp to automate processes and enhance efficiency within the organization. The bootcamp has not only opened doors for me in the tech industry but also equipped me with the skills necessary to excel in my career.

Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to Amy Surdam, Eric Trowbridge, Jason Hammock, the board, and everyone else involved in bringing Array to life. Whoever put those colorful posters up downtown, I can accredit for being the reason I'm no longer moving furniture for a living, and instead pursuing my dreams in tech. Thank you all for your unwavering support and guidance. I hope my story serves as an inspiration for future students and demonstrates the limitless opportunities available to coding bootcamp graduates.
