The Uranium industry in Wyoming is nothing new. In fact, Wyoming started mining uranium in 1918 and leads the nation in production. This U.S. ban on Russian uranium imports is a significant step forward to enhancing our energy security -- and our domestic producers. With American companies paying up to $1 billion a year to Russia for enriched uranium, think of what that could do for our homegrown energy industry. πͺπͺ Thank you to U.S. Senator John Barrasso for leading this fight. Wyoming is ready.

Wyoming is proud to be the home of America's next nuclear reactor, thanks to a strong partnership with TerraPower. Big things are coming in this space!
I sat down with Chris Levesque, CEO of TerraPower, yesterday for an update on the Natrium nuclear project in Kemmerer. Wyoming companies are already getting involved, with Gillette-based Earth Work Solutions set to begin dirt work this month. With Senator Barrasso's bill to ban Russian uranium passed by Congress, there's growing excitement about the nuclear industry in Wyoming.
Things are looking π BRIGHTπ for Laramie County Schools.
