It is not safe for a baby to sleep in an adult bed (with or without people). Your baby can sleep in your room in their own crib or bassinet, where they will be close. This simple practice can prevent sudden infant death syndrome. Keep baby safe, and sound asleep.

Meet Ruth Tunnicliff, MD: A Trailblazer in Medicine 🌟
Ruth Tunnicliff, a graduate of Rush Medical College's inaugural class of women in 1903, defied the norms of her time and made significant contributions to medical research and practice.
For nearly four decades, Tunnicliff worked alongside the esteemed bacteriologist Ludvig Hektoen at Chicago’s John McCormick Institute for Infectious Diseases. Her research, which encompassed over 100 papers, enhanced our understanding of diseases such as diphtheria, scarlet fever, and measles.
During World War I, she served as an army contract surgeon, providing invaluable clinical lab services. In the 1930s, Tunnicliff delved into dental research at Loyola University, focusing on combating tooth decay.
Her legacy as a pioneer in medicine continues to inspire generations of healthcare professionals. Let's honor Ruth Tunnicliff's trailblazing spirit and dedication to advancing medical science! 🩺💡
Meet Dr. Caroline Hedger, a trailblazing figure in public health and social reform. Graduating from Rush Medical College in 1904, she dedicated her career to serving immigrant families and the less fortunate in Chicago. Dr. Hedger's groundbreaking work, including her 1906 article "Tuberculosis in Packingtown," alongside Upton Sinclair's The Jungle, exposed the harsh realities of living and working conditions near the stockyards.
She championed for better wages, improved housing, and holistic approaches to child health through initiatives like the Parent's Score Card. Let's celebrate her legacy of compassion and advocacy for social justice.
