Thank YOU so much and .running.rosen for my 🍩 shirt!
I love it!
Ironically, I had my donut shorts on today and then checked mail from yesterday and 💥 I opened your package and discovered this awesome shirt and ❤️felt card!
I was honored to be a part of your 1st Annual running retreat!
Keep on inspiring not just your runners but also 🙋‍♀️
Looking forward to seeing you guys at some races soon!

I took a field trip to the canal path this morning and yippee got to run with for the first of many times to come 👍
Crazy, but she will be running her 17th and I will be running my 16th (I miss counted last week) next weekend 💙💛
Holy Unicorns, Batman!
It was also so great to see my friend on the path too

When it comes to post race recovery, another trick I learned from my friend is that “Motion is Lotion”
I can barely go down my stairs (even today) without holding on to the railings and feeling my quads yell at me.
I haven’t felt this sore since I did Rim2Rim2Rim and made the poor decision of sprinting down the north rim to the base of the canyon.
So the past few days I have been running with Coach Maisey. She pulls me along and makes me go faster than I want to go. It’s like a tempo run!
She has so much energy I swear she could run a marathon.
Hoping tomorrow my legs are finally back to normal.

04/03/2023

I can’t recommend this race enough! Two thumbs up to match two still swollen quads but all in the name of beautiful scenery, awesome volunteers and sweet swag!
Anddd added bonus, pics are included with race entry fee👊

It’s always a G R E A T day when I 🏃‍♀️into one of my readers 📗
I was just leaving the expo and introduced her awesome self to me.
She must have bought one of my first books because she used my book to prepare for her first 💥26.2💥That was the 2018 NYC Marathon (my book was officially official in Sept 2018)
Thank YOU Tanya for bringing me along on your marathon journey. Hope to see you tomorrow…and in NYC!

Better Late….then Zero, right?
Gave myself a kick in the butt and finally got out the door for a sweet sunset run tonight. Sometimes it’s hard for me to run first thing in the morning because geez, I have the wholeee day to run. Hence late night miles. Can anyone else relate? 🤔

On this , I want to thank 📣YOU 📣all for your support from afar. I “heard” your cheers and belief❤️
I made it till 1:30 AM at and my feet and belly weren’t having any more loops.
I had so much fun until it wasn’t fun. My feet were burning with each step and my stomach was fighting me on any food coming in….even pizza and that’s one of my 5 main food groups!! I know if someone brought me donuts I would have had to turn them down. Only tums was working 😩
The positives in my race outweighed way more than coming home with another DNYF (Did Not Finish Yet) at the 100 mile distance. I saw so many friends lots (because the course is a little over a mile loop) and I got to meet and talk to (separate post on this coming up 😃) who is someone I hugely admire and am inspired by.
I won’t lie though, when I turned in my chip and found out I had “only” done 54 miles, I felt like a loser coach, runner and human because I have finished stand alone 50s lots and I didn’t even get to a 100k!
But then I listened to my own advice that I give my runners…I need to Taylor Swift this and Shake it Off because I know I gave my best and that’s enough. I pushed through the pain longer than I wanted to so where else could I have dug. (Shout out to my coach, I mean therapist, Melissa who continual helps with reprogramming my self-talk)
Running/racing is just like life, we have good days and bad days and good races/runs and bad races/runs.
Saturday night my sister Dawn even surprised me and walked some of the miles with me.
I didn’t get my buckle but I got another PR in fun until those latter or so miles and importantly I will try, try again because I know there will come a hundred miler when the stars (feet-stomach-mindset-gear) align!
Now let’s get on to 🎉2023🎉

Photos from Run For Change Endurance Training's post 12/26/2022

circa 2022
No PRs…No BQs buttttt more importantly I had oodles of fun (except for that “wall” part but that’s where we really earn the shirt and the medal) and created memories in training and on race day with friends and new friends. Plus, the places I got to see and experience.
At the end of a training season, I recommend to my runners to add up all of the miles they have logged…then figure out the city that is that many miles away from where you live…💥BOOM💥that gives you a different perspective of just how far your body and mind has taken you.
So for your 2022 in review…look at how far you actually raced…for me it, was just over 400 miles…that is comparable to running all these races or, running from Phoenix to Zion National Park!
Wuuu Whooo!

Hope to see lots of you at the races and on the roads in 2023😀

✅ Day 2 of my non running run streak complete. Tried two different classes as an experiment to find the class that meshes the best with my energy.

Then combined my morning Starbucks with a hike.
How did my fellow streakers do?

Photos from Run For Change Endurance Training's post 11/24/2022

It’s official!
Today I committed to meditating! I am going to do a Holiday from today through New Years Day in hopes that meditation sticks and becomes a natural part of my daily routine.
A Holiday Run streak isn’t much of a stretch for someone who has been running since the 4th gradeI. Meditating on the other hand is outside of my innate-ness and I know a tool that will help with grounding me better than I am doing on my own.
Anyone else want to join in on my ?
Just takes 5 minutes a day and there are lots of apps and or YouTube videos to get started?
I know my friend is in ✅
Want to join us?

Sunday was filled with so many proud & grateful moments like this one where I was able to see one of my runners, shortly after she crossed her 💥FIRST💥 Marathon finish line!
What that first finish line did for me back in 1994, I know will do similar (if it hasn’t already👍) for you , Jola and my other 69 First-Timers!
I am so grateful 8-16-2009 led me to coaching as it makes my cup beyond runneth over❤️
Congrats on your first of many 26.2s….oh wait, see you at the next month as you take on your 2nd Marathon!

10/09/2022

As Elvis would say, I took care of business. Huge shoutout to all my peeps I saw out on the course and all the volunteers and spectators!
I got jolt after jolt of energy from you as I trekked forward.
Thank you and see you in 365 days….you know I am counting 🤣
Stay tuned for lots of 📸 shots✅

My cup overfloweth in pride and gratitude for my runners!
So proud of you all and you haven’t even crossed the start line❤️

Ready to 📣 cheer on my runner’s tomorrow.
If I get any more E X C I T E D I just might 🎉explode 🎉

10/08/2022

Tonight was so much fun speaking with some of this year’s@gotrchicago before they hit the start line on Sunday.
What a cool “get me right in the ❤️” parallel that exactly what a finish line does for each SoulMate is the same feels that the girls in the program feel when they cross their 5k finish line.
Remember your first 5k? Your first half?
Your first ultra? Heck, even your first mile? That sense of self-awe, accomplishment, empowerment, etc is being ignited in these girls in their early years way before they hit adulthood!!!
Not too mention a lot of these girls will be in the program with girls that might not live in their neighborhood and or might not be at the same academic level as them. 💥Boom💥just like our running clubs running becomes the common language that brings us altogether ❤️
Thank You! Thank You for running for our girls!

All my pics prove it, right?
Even in the 🌧 my peeps came out this morning for the 4th Annual 2.62 mile Donut Run!
It’s the perfect combination of shaking out some pre-race jitters, running with your friends and making some new friends, test-driving the ‘s infamous “Mt Roosevelt and enjoying my fav food group 🍩.
Huge 📣 out to Liz and her team for partnering with in making this a fun morning.
