We are seeking a foundation development manager to be part of an existing and well-established team that is building a new strategy for continued growth. If you are an initiative taker who collaborates well with committees and colleagues and is passionate about donor engagement and looking for a place to be empowered to bring your creative ideas to the table, then this could be the role for you!
As our foundation development manager, you would manage the day-to-day operations of the Foundation’s stewardship and fundraising opportunities as well as oversee the volunteer fundraising committee responsible for bringing in mid-level and major gifts. Specific responsibilities include:
*Developing and implementing—in partnership with the Foundation Director and Development Committee—an integrated annual fundraising and stewardship plan that includes existing strategies and incorporates a series of new programs (i.e., recurring giving, workplace giving, and peer to peer campaigns).
*Collaborating with Foundation Director and marketing team to develop communication calendar that supports the fundraising plan.
*Overseeing and coordinating efforts to record, acknowledge, and recognize gifts.
*Creating content for development and stewardship communications.
*Tracking and analyzing donor data to identify and evaluate prospective individual, corporate, and foundation donors to establish a prospect pipeline.
*Preparing reports on progress related to fundraising.
*Supporting fundraising, donor stewardship, and cultivation events.
What we can offer you
If you’d like to be part of an organization that is far more than just a place to work, then IREM is the organization for you. We are committed to providing our team members with a space they can show up and be their true authentic self. We are a place where you’ll feel great about devoting your talents and skills to making a difference in the lives and careers of the people we serve. We support professional growth and development, allow for casual dress year-round and offer flex time and one-day paid time off for volunteering.
Let your skills shine
If you consider yourself a pro in building donor pipelines and then keeping those donors engaged, then this is the career move for you! To be successful in this role, you'll need at least three years of solid fundraising experience either directly, or in support of, a fundraising team in mid-level and/or major gifts. We would also like you to have at least one year experience managing volunteers and familiarity with donor management systems and fundraising software platforms. A degree in a relevant field would be a plus, as would be a relevant fundraising certification. Excellent writing, storytelling and communication skills are essential. We also want you to bring your enthusiasm and creativity to this role and be part of a team that is ready to achieve big goals!
If you're unsure that you've check off all of these "boxes", but you think you have what it takes to be an awesome "value add" to our foundation team, we still want to hear from you.
Because the health and safety of our team members is our priority, we are currently working remotely. We prefer local candidates, but will consider out-of-state candidates.
