Playing 4 Hope
We are a non-profit organization providing children an outlet of hope during difficult times. Located in Columbia, MO.
We work with The University of Missouri and their affiliated hospitals to provide hope for children within the community. We provide our services to children afflicted with various medical conditions including illness, disability, or disease. We are a 501(c)3 organization and 100% of donations go directly to supporting our cause. We hope to one day expand to sites outside of central Missouri.
Donations and sponsorships help bring pediatric patients, like Lucy, hope in the middle of a difficult, scary time. Athletes from the Mizzou Gymnastics team were able to lift Lucy's spirits and share precious moments like these because of supporters like you.
Playing 4 Hope operates solely on donations, sponsors, and volunteers. This holiday season, please consider supporting our Give the Gift of Hope fundraising campaign to help make a difference. There are many ways to contribute to providing hope to kiddos who need it the most - just visit www.playing4hope.org/give-hope to learn more!

Everyday children in our community are facing adversity - physically, mentally, and emotionally. Playing 4 Hope is partnering with University of Missouri athletes to provide an outlet of hope for these children.
In our hospitals we are helping children and their families get through difficult times by providing gifts, meals, and memorable experiences. In our grade schools we are providing children with essentials such as winter clothing, shoes, backpacks and are discussing mental health awareness during school sponsored events, including both where and how to get help.
Your $50 dollar donation could provide:
- In our hospitals: an uplifting gift during a hospital stay, 2 tickets to a sporting event after discharge, or 10 meals during a hospital stay (~3 families)
- In our grade schools: 5 winter jackets or hoodies, 2 pairs of shoes or backpacks, or 25 wristbands symbolizing togetherness.

This week's Playing 4 Hope visit was with our new friend, Nakota!
Nakota visited with Mizzou Football's Ben Straatmann, Bryce Jackson, and Austin Firestone as they get ready to take on the Florida Gators! 🐊 Nakota and the players talked about football, soccer, and science. Nakota hopes to play football as a Mizzou Tiger when he gets older. 🏈 Nakota enjoys watching the football games and will be cheering on the team this weekend.
This Saturday the Tigers will be taking on the Florida Gators, and Nakota will be watching these players as they wear their P4H wristbands, dedicating their game to him. Go Tigers! 🐯
Thank you to our sponsor 573 Tees for making this visit possible! 🤩
Everyone meet JaSiah! JaSiah is a big fan of football, especially Mizzou Football and The Kansas City Chiefs. He even plays on both sides of the ball for his flag football team back home💪. Yesterday, JaSiah got a surprise visit from #46 Ben Straatmann and #59 Trey Flint. The athletes brought handmade cards and hooked JaSiah up with some new Mizzou gear, included a signed football. They also got to chat about their favorite sports teams and athletes, shared love for the WWE, their favorite colors, and much more!
This Saturday, these Mizzou Football players will be rocking their P4H wristbands and dedicating their game to JaSiah. MIZ! 🐯

Luke got to see the big Tiger win against K-State earlier this season and enjoys attending Mizzou football games! Although he loves football, his favorite sport is basketball. He plays as a center and guard for his team. He talked with the players about their studies and loves mechanics!

Playing 4 Hope would like to introduce a new friend, Sophia!
Mizzou Volleyball players Luisa Vilaca and Lauren Forbes, along with Coach Arielle Wilson, paid a visit to Sophia before their game tomorrow against the Tennessee Volunteers. Before the visit, the players and Coach Wilson sent a special message to miss Sophia, as you can see! 🏐
The players and Coach Wilson talked about some of Sophia’s favorite subjects in school and what she will be dressing up as for Halloween, Cinderella 👸. They gave Sophia and her family signed cards, posters, and a letter to their future Mizzou Volleyball recruit! She may have to wait a few years to join the tigers on the court, but Sophia and her family will be in the stands tomorrow cheering on the girls and wearing their matching P4H wristbands! They will be dedicating their game tomorrow to miss Sophia. GO TIGERS! 🐯🏐

He even practiced last night for over an hour with his care team!
