With sadness we say goodbye to former OSU College of Dentistry faculty member, Dr. James Cornett. Dr. Cornett was a 1970 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He maintained a private practice in Marysville, OH, and taught in the Emergency and Predoctoral Endodontics Clinics at OSU until his retirement in 2015. He positively impacted the lives of thousands of dental students and endodontic residents with his passion for teaching and guiding young dentists. When you worked with him in the clinics you could easily sense his dedication to his lovely family, to the profession of dentistry, and to the Ohio State Buckeyes. We offer our deepest condolences and appreciation to his family for sharing him with us for all of those years.

This post about Dr. Readers retirement is a long time coming, maybe because of the bittersweetness of the event - We "celebrated" Dr. Al Reader's official and final retirement from the Advanced Endodontic Program and the Ohio State College of Dentistry this fall. Trying to put in to words everything that he means to all of us is next to impossible. All we can really say is THANK YOU, from the bottom of all of our hearts. His impact on our lives is without measure. We miss him incredibly, but are happy to know that he can enjoy more time with Dixie and family and soaking up lots of sun in Florida! We love you, Al, and because of you we will always know that "it will be fine."
