Join us for an unforgettable night of music as we celebrate the beauty of Spain through Turina's passionate composition and other mesmerizing Spanish works. Joaquín Turina's "Danzas fantásticas" were inspired by the lively rhythms of Spanish dances and the sophisticated orchestration of French composers. The three movements, "Exaltación," "Ensueño," and "Celebration," are a musical journey that combines an Aragonian jota, a Basque zortziko, and an Andalusian celebration. Turina's orchestration brilliantly brings these Spanish dance forms to life, and the piece is filled with spirited melodies that capture the essence of Spain.
