American bass vocalist Nathaniel Kondrat studied voice at Oregon State University, receiving a BA in music in 2008. He went on to receive a master's degree in music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2011. An enthusiastic recitalist, Kondrat's repertoire includes Shubert, Schumann, Williams, Beethoven and Finzi. He was a finalist at the NAATSA singing competition in Orlando, Florida in 2014, and has participated in master classes with Sir Thomas Allen, Nathan Gunn and Fracois le Roux. Kondtrat was accepted into the Acadamie Musicale de Villecroze in 2014 and received a scholarship to work with Stephen Stubbs in the Accadamia D'amore. In 2018 he was a prize winner at the Rheinsbert Castle International Competition in Germany, where he now resides.
Pianist and accompanist Ana Maria Lupu was born in Moldova and began her artistic career in 2008 at the Lyceum of Music for Gifted Children in Chisinau, Moldova, where she took part in numerous competitions in her homeland. In 2012 she was admitted to the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts. In 2013 she took part in a master class for piano with Professor. P. Waas at the Weimar University of Music. In the same year she moved to Germany to continue her studies in Weimar. She completed her studies in Dresden in 2018 at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music. She has performed in many concerts on stage and as a member of orchestras. In January 2020 she gave several performances on stage at the Clara Schumann Concert Hall in Zwickau, and later performed the concert for piano and orchestra, "A century rolls" by J. Adams in Zwickau and Plauen. She has been seen on stage as part of the song evening at Rheinsberg Castle and for the "Long Night of the Arts" concert.

The Oregon State University Foundation is pleased to partner with Pioneer Courthouse Square to underwrite registration fees for Tuba players participating in the 31st Annual Tuba Christmas Concert; enjoy this wonderful holiday tradition tomorrow, Dec. 10, at 1:30 p.m. in Pioneer Square in Downtown Portland. Members of Oregon State University’s music program, faculty and marching band have participated in Tuba Christmas for decades, playing a significant role in the event’s growth and delighting our community in Portland.
“This event is particularly joyous for us because Portland is home to the largest community of OSU alumni - more than 57,000 - as well as many of our donors, industry partners, parents and friends. Plus, it’s just in our DNA at OSU to partner with organizations in support of our community. We encourage everyone to join us for this celebration,” said Shawn L. Scoville, president and CEO of the Oregon State University Foundation.
Have you heard the news? The Beavers are bowl bound again, and that means the band is going too! What an exciting experience for our students. For our team and our fans, the band is an essential part of any bowl game, but for our band students, bowl travel is a growth experience that often provides memories of a lifetime. We're not yet sure where the Beavers are headed, but we do know that taking the entire band to a bowl game is expensive. We want to make sure that every single student is able to attend -- we couldn't bear to leave anyone behind. You can help by joining the OSU Bandwagon. Your contribution will help ensure that all of our band members can travel and will help the Spirit and Sound of OSU sound louder and prouder than ever, for our team and our fans. Go Beavs! Show your support for the Spirit and Sound of OSU today. Jump on The Bandwagon!
